  • franken foods and ketosis ?

    just wondering if you eat some frankenfoods and you are still in ketosis does that mean the sugar alcohols havent affected me and i will continue into fat burning.as yesterday i realy needed chocolate sooooo i ate a lowcarb bar tested an hour later and i was still in ketosis and still am now.
    i no they are bad i just needed some ensive
    soon to be slim

    The trick to it is that you really did not need it, and that by having one you fed the sweet tooth demon. If you are still in ketosis then great but next time have a non frakenfood snack instead.

      yes i did feed the sweet tooth monster but if i didnt then im sure i would have feed the carb monster.

        Well I always learned : God punishes immediately, Dr Atkins 3 days later.
        So it might be right now you can still be in ketosis but that could be over tomorrow. :yikes (that sentence was to make you shudder a bit, hehehe)
        But of course you had a locarb bar so it could be it won't get as bad.
        Thing is with the bar: in induction you need to get away from your addiction to sweet stuff, by eating that bar well, you are feeding the addiction, so better stay away from it, even if you will still be in ketosis with it.
        Btw, there is nothing to be 'needed' about that bar, you said 'I just needed some', see, addiction.......next time you think something like that, eat an egg or a piece of cheese and as a punishment now: go drink 2 glasses of water !!!

              franken foods.. lol.. I'm learning SO much....

              I need to go to the grocery store.. NOW.. I want celery..

                    Sweet tooth monster = carb monster.

                    Sugar is a carbohydrate. Feed the sweet tooth, you feed the carb tooth.

                      you gotta break the bad habits hon...there is no "gotta have chocolate"...you wanted and you gave in...you have to learn to change your behavior because that's what got us all here in the first place...next time try eating something like a pickle or a piece of cheese...the salty sour taste of the pickle helps kill the craving...drink water...exercise...or post on these boards...it will get easier but you have to be willing to fight thru the craving.
