  • not prepared in induction!

So the wife and I started induction on Sunday and have been doing great... I weighed this morning and I am down from 389 to 376 WOW!!!

At work my employer pays for our lunches and they go pick it up and bring it to the store for us. Today they all decided to go to raising canes Todd Graves | Raising Cane's | Secret Millionaire | Chicken Fingers | Cane's Sauce Now about a week ago that would have been no problem. We "Never" go there and the week I start back on Atkins they do... This place offers 3 things.. Breaded and fried chicken strips, french fries, and large pieces of bread, so obviously it is in no way Atkins friendly... I was very hungry and will not have another chance to eat for a while so I took 3 strips and pealed the breading off and ate the chicken... I am still concerned that this may effect my induction... The carb count of these things is 9g a piece normally...

Nothing you can do about it now, no matter how much it will or won't affect you. All you can do is move forward & try to do better next time. (i.e. implement a plan for the next time your work-provided lunch isn't appropriate).

It's a way of life/eating...like everyone told me when I slipped up with a bad choice at a Chinese restaurant. It's a learning experience and we can't ever completely screw up...unless we just stop trying.

Sounds like you made the best of a difficult situation by peeling the chicken. I am sure it won't be the last hairy situation you'll find yourself in. I think if you keep making smart decisions, you'll have wonderful success

Yeah we are doing really good overall, emptied the house of temptations and planned out all of our meals and all of the prep work, and normally we eat at places with options and I have been able to modify meals to be atkins friendly, I am sure this will not have a huge effect, like i said i peeled off all of the breading and ate bare chicken.. Probably equivelent to half of a chicken breast or so... Some extra pushups and situps tonight should hopefully take care of it.

The good news is most tenders aren't injected like the whole chickens are. They might contain solution from soaking while they are raw but a lot of that cooks out. Since you peeled off the breading I bet you are just fine.
