  • Newbie here, help please guys!

    Hi dudes,

Well, im 15 stone and 24 years old, not a massive amount overweight but i still have Man Boobs "M-oobs" and a belly which i want to rid, because i have hips you can balance beer bottles on it makes me look alot bigger than i actually am! Still, have to remain upbeat hey!

OK so i started on Atkins 2 days ago heres what i am doing so far...

I have totally cut out booze, tea, coffee, chocolate, milk, bread, curries, chinese, chips, potatoes, rice, pasta... Basically everything the book says is bad.

I am living on steaks, chicken, peppers, onions, omelletes no milk and caffeine free cola. As well as a stupid amount of water.

Am i doing everything correct so far - would be great for you guys to tell me if i need to do something else.

Also im exercising on the treadmill and weights. What i have found is that my blood sugar drops quit quickly, is there anything out there i can use to bump this up when i jog?

    Thanks so much!

Keep an eye on your sugars, especially at first. It may take several days to get lypolisis kicked in. Once you begin burning fat, your sugars shouldn't be as likely to bottom out. Check with your Dr. and take it easier (still work out, but start out in moderation) on the excercise until your body adjusts to the new WOE.

        Hi Andy
Welcome to our international ADBB family

I am guessing from your use of the weight in stones that you might be from my side of the pond?!? If so it is great to have another Brit on board
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

            HAHAHAHAHA thats awesome.

gum can actually increase sugar cravings.. so be careful of that.
also try and cut out the pop.

other than that, make sure you are getting in a ridiculous amount of veggies and you should have "slim hips" in no time GL!

Re: Newbie here, help please guys!

Welcome!! I did not see a lot of veggies there peppers and onions? you need more than that, I would recommend No Pop period during your induction...and if you can help it no pop period...I stop drinking pop and it has helped a lot. Pop is not good at all..water, water with ice, water with lemon, water in a bottle or water in a glass take your pick veggies, no sugar, no gum ...induction is when you are trying to "detox" your body per say. Good luck

              <------------------>

I started atkins in late november but every other week just sort of fell off the wagon and was not working out..late december I started to really follow it and added the gym from november to december I only lost like 7 lbs not following it right..from december to march 18 I lost 50 lbs give or take depending what mood my scale is on lol.
