  • Is this ok....

    Today was my actual first day of atkins induction. Can you all please check my menu to see if i did well and where i can improve on.

    Breakfast
    2 eggs
    1 tbsp unsalted butter
    1 slice cheddar cheese

    snack
    cream cheese muffin

    lunch
    thin chicken breast cooked in 2 tbsp of olive oil
    1 cup broccoli
    1/2 cup of sliced jicama

    snack
    cream cheese muffin

    dinner
    baked salmon
    2 cups romaine lettuce with 1/4 cup sliced cucumber and ranch dressing

    snack
    2 cream cheese muffins


    I have also logged all of this into fitday and i have the link to my public profile in my signature.

    It looks like you're on the cream cheese muffin diet. HMMM Not sure if we can lose on that diet. Too much cheese and too much sweetener and not enough veggies. Most of your carbs came from that source today. But the rule is most of your carb should come from veggies. So you have to rethink that part a bit.
    My suggestion would be to eat mroe eggs, milk, fish and clean fats and cut down on snack. Try egg or meat for snack instead.

    And drink lost of water.

      I would cut out the cream cheese muffins and make sure you add a vegtable along with you salad and meat for dinner.

        The limit of cheese is 3-4 ounces.

          is that cream cheese muffin an actual muffin with grains?

          remember grains are a rung 9 food and is an illegal ingridient for induction

          just cause it may be low in carbs for the amount your eating does not make it ok. i once ate these 10 net carb whole wheat wraps though they were only 10 net carbs they 100% stalled my weight loss for months till i cut them out and later i learned its cause whole wheat is a rung 9 food and rung 9 is the highest rung!


          your other food items looked good though maybe add a little more fat to your menu baked salmon tends to be a litte too low in fat and try to eat your chicken with skin if possible
