For any prepared (packaged) food, you need to check the list of ingredients to ensure that all of them are on the list of foods acceptable for induction (i.e. if there is sugar in it, then it is not allowed).

It would probably be best to to make it homemade with the right ingredients. Most French dressings have sugar and other ingredients that makes it much higher in carbs.

I used to be a big French/Catalina dressing fan, but my tastes have changes the longer I do Atkins. Anymore, I prefer simple oil and vinegar, or occasional blue cheese or ranch dressing. Much safer and less risky that you'll get extra carbs that you didn't need.

Here is my collection of French/Catalina LC dressing recipes. I haven't tried any of them yet but maybe you will see one that appeals to your tastes.

        Peter Neuman's Catalina Dressing

        Preparation Time: 5 minutes

        Ingredients:
        1 1/4 cup sugar-free tomato paste (I use Hunt's brand)
        3 cups canola oil
3/4 cup water plus 2 tablespoons
1 1/2 cup plus 1/3 cup white vinegar
        1 teaspoon dried, onion powder
        3/4 teaspoons dried, garlic powder
        1 tablespoons ground mustard powder
1 cup equivalent of sugar substitute
20 drops red food coloring **

** Food coloring is optional, but it adds a nice color to the dressing. **

        Directions:
Place tomato paste in a large bowl. Slowly stir in, with a whisk
or electric beater, the canola oil. Add remaining ingredients and keep stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
