I went to the doctor on Thursday and she told me i was too fat and told me to avoid all carbs. Assuming she meant the Atkins diet I started. This is only my third day and I seem to have lost about 10 lbs! I am not sure if this is correct I go back to the doctor tomorrow to have blood drawn I am going to ask to be weighed again just to see the difference... I am having a problem with making sure I eat. Today I had two eggs for breakfast with cheese and mushrooms and three sausages which were a grand total of 2net carbs, around 1pm I had an atkins bar which had 3net carbs in it and then around 5 i had a tuna wrap with lettuce which came out to be 4 net carbs. I hope I am following this plan correctly.. If anyone has any suggestions please Help!!

Re: New to this...
Your doctor seems to have an odd idea of food choices if she said to avoid 'all carbs' as that would mean not being able to eat the 3 cups of veg we are supposed to eat on Atkins induction as well as ruling out any eggs, cheese, cream etc which all contain carbs
I would look at the actual ingredients of those Atkins bars - as far as I know they all contain ingredients not allowed on induction like grains, nuts and soya!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
