This is kind of a dumb question. I know that there are so many of you are great cooks!!! So I was just wondering if anyone has ever used Mascarpone cheese for a cheese cake rather than cream cheese. I am one of the few who really can't stand cream cheese.

Ricotta would probably be better in cheesecake than mascarpone (most Italian cheesecakes use ricotta.) Just be sure to drain the ricotta well.
