Re: fitday vs food labels
I've been told that Fitday is more accurate, so I'd use that.

Re: fitday vs food labels
It depends somewhat on what kind of food it is and very the divergence is. Labels are generally fairly accurate except when it comes to the small numbers - such as how much carb in cheese. Here label will say zero because it is less than 0.5 for the serving size they list but we have to count it as one according to the book so we make a custom entry for that. Or other things with sugars - the label will not reflect the small stuff but we still need to count it and fitday will have that. Like eggs
On the other hand if it is a processed item fitday may not know exactly what is in the item. So here I often make a custum entry (for a thing like sausage)

Like chicken breast or any other packaged products. They have labels but I thought we were to use what's in fitday. I'm going to start just using what's on the labels and making custom items unless there isn't a label because fitday makes it seem like I'm eating more calories, carbs, protein, and fat than i really amStarting Weight: 175.2

Re: fitday vs food labels
Are you buying injected chicken? You should really avoid those. If the chicken has a list of ingredients - don't buy it.

Re: fitday vs food labels
Then it is all good. So what was the discrepancy between fitday and the label?
I find it useful to use fitday's entries for the reason that fitday counts up your nutrients too (like iron, magnesium etc) and I like to keep an eye on those. Hard to get those correct when you do custom entries

not a big discrepancy more like a 5-10 calorie difference. Maybe im being too technical about it, i do get that way sometimes lolStarting Weight: 175.2

If by "packaged", you mean raw chicken, then just use the Fitday entry for raw.
You should always enter things "raw" when you can, especially if that's what you started with.J.
