  • Iced Tea??

    Im starting this diet again on Monday.... I lost 22 lbs from last aug-dec 2009.... With all the holidays i just could get back on track.... I have a question though...

    I dont like drinking plain water like im supposed to... im addicted to diet sodas. instead of diet sodas is it ok that i drink lipton ides tea... i dont add sugar just plain tea... is this ok instead of plain water all the time?

    Welcome back.
    The answer is no it is not OK. There will be plenty of sweetener in the ice tea and you are limited to three sweetener a day. And though you can have a bit it can never replace plain water. Plain water rocks so you should get your 64 oz down every day

      Even if you have non-sweetened tea, you will still be loading up on caffeine, which works against you in keeping you hydrated. It is said that we need to drink our 64 oz PLUS match with water however many caffeinated drinks we are drinking. Sorry!

        If you do drink tea in addition to water, don't forget to count the net carbs in it.

          Even if you have decaf tea, it's not ok.

          Tea is not water.

          Chapter 12 is quite clear on that.

          Only water is water.
