    Intense workouts

I plan to start working out 6 days a week, cardio all 6 days and weight training 2 days a week. I was wondering should I start to up my calorie intake to keep up with my fitness routine. I typically eat between 1400-1800 calories a day...should I up it or keep it the way it is?

I would say no. But you may feel hungrier and want more food and in that case add a bit more.
So what kind of cardio are you going to do? Do you have a trainer or is this on your own?

        Re: Intense workouts

I wouldn't increase my caloric intake unless you actually feel as though you need to, i.e., you get hungry. I'm currently working out pretty intensely but the difference in my appetite between intense workouts and ho-hum (or no) workouts is negligible.

Edited to add: the difference I do spot is that I am thirstier. So I drink a lot more water when I'm working out intensely.

same here. i am keeping my caloric intake around 1500 a day.. but i am WAY thirstier (if that was possible)

just go with your tummy and eat more if you are actually hungry.

I am doing this on my own. I had a trainer like 2 years ago tho.
