Okay so i'm starting over and i'm one week in i have lost 3lbs. My question is i ate an atkins bar today that says good for phases 2,3, and 4 will this kick me out of ketosis?

Atkins bars and shakes are notorious for causing stalls and most people on this board, including me, think the atkins shakes and bars are not good and may cause weight loss stalls. You should be eating whole foods and try to avoid those frankenfoods at all cost and if you have to use them...use them only in emergency situationsStarting Weight: 175.2

whew!! I totally agree. I had a bit of hunger growls one day while studying and I went to the nearest health store just to check out what they had ... I bought ONE strawberry atkins shake that stated safe for induction and I will NEVER drink it again. It just ISN'T safe. Especially during Induction. I'm so glad I decided not to buy any more ... Plus, they're expensive for a pack! I just can't wait to be through with Induction and slowly start my OWL/Rungs. Although, I really need to review all of the information!

As with all foods with ingredients in them (apart from plain meat and veggies) you need to look at the list of those ingredients to decide which phase of Atkisn they are 'legal' for.
If the list includes stuff not allowed on induction then the food is not 'induction-friendly' and needs leaving till you are at the correct OWL rung/level that does allow them - assuming your body reacts favourably when you try it out.Last edited by Elizellen; April 26, 2010, 11:24 AM.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
