Prior to Atkins, I was way into coupons. I still coupon to buy HBA items as well as carby things for my family. Every once in a while, a handful of great LC coupons are available so I thought I'd share them here. I'll update as I find, and of course, please link any that you find!

One thing I want to call attention to is that at Kroger stores, every 6-8 weeks, they usually put Laura's (grass fed) Lean Ground Beef on special, buy one get one free. I am always on the lookout.

Cleo, before doing Atkins I ran a coupon matching website for grocery stores in my local area. My website (no longer updating.)

The gist of what I was doing was holding onto coupons until items went on sale and maximized my savings. Here is an example of how I shop. Of course, now that I've cut out HFCS for my family and I am doing Atkins, I shop a bit differently. There is still savings to be found, albeit not as many. There is a huge amount of savings to be had with non-food items like cleaners, soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc. I haven't paid for toothpaste in two years and I've given away about a dozen tubes that I got for free.

Old habits die hard. I scour ads, print coupons (or order them from clipping services) and hunt spectacular deals

You rock! I usually shop sales, but haven't really focused on coupons for some time unless they come from my local stores. I love your git r done attitude and taking that extra step! My best bet is to buy all non perishables, frozen and Dairy at WalMart and perishable meats and vegetables at stores like Kroger. I used to frequent a local butcher, but the prices are higher and not necessarily a better quality product.

Sorry for the segway! I shop for a family of six, and I tell people all of the time that we eat more cheaply when low carb than any other way. People always assume low carb = more expensive grocery bills.

I think people think low carb is more expensive when they buy the other things too. We buy meat(and just meat) a few times a year (all different cuts) when there is a big sale, spending 300 dollars on meat lasts a long time. but there are also in the past been times where I go to the store, spend 100 bucks, walk outside and realize I bought absolutely nothing. Buying condiments, snacks, and garbage food, is where the price jacks up, eliminate that stuff, and its a whole new ball game.

These aren't coupons but free samples of all kinds of products. I check this link periodically and send for things we could use or would like to try.

As far as coupons, when making up my shopping list, I then check out that product's website to check for coupons. I don't do Facebook but I hear there are a lot of company offers on there too.

An easier way to do this is to check this out. It's the most up-to-date resource I've ever found! It'll be more accurate than checking manufacturer's websites directly, as sometimes coupons are available at redplum, smartsource and coupons.com but not on the website.

If you shop at Meijer - this week Splenda is 25% off and there is a store coupon for $1/2 for 200 count packets or 9.7 granular (regular price is $7.49) - stack the store coupon with this $3.50/2 coupon.

The math:

2 (200 ct packets or 9.7 granular Splenda) @ $7.49 each = $14.98
- 25% sale price, - $3.75 = $11.23
- Store coupon for $1/2 = $10.23
- Manufacturer's coupon for $3.50/2 = $6.73
- $6.73/2 = $3.36 each.

Nice! I also saw that Safeway has some decent online coupons this week. Target's were meh.
