  • Help please someone!!

Hi all, its now my third week on the atkins induction and i have not lost a single kilo, ive lost 1 inch off th stomach and thats it!!! I have no clue what i am doing wrong i am eating a 2 scrambelled eggs for breakkie each day with mushroom, bacon, onion and spinach, lunch is usually salad with chicken or lamb. and tea is usuall meat and veggies.
I do have trouble drinking water but usually get in at leat 1.5 litres a day.
i have also started excercise in sport and swimming, doing this 3-4 times per week.
funny enough i have stuck to this diet stricter than any diet before and am getting no where!!
can someone please make a suggestion or offer some miracle story where they had something similar and then MAGICALLY lost 5 kilo.... Please!!
Im afraid if i dont get results soon, im gonna fall straight back off the wagon.

    Cheers

Losing inches is an indicator that you have lost weight, regardless of what the scale says. The scale measures everything... fat, muscle, bones, organs, etc... so it doesn't know how much fat you've lost.

It's also common to see a pause in weight loss (I mean here the number on the scale) when you start a new exercise routine. Actually, some people see a gain.

How many net carbs are you eating and how many of those come from vegetables?

How much weight do you have to lose? What are your stats?

You should be drinking at least 2 L of water a day. Many people discover that their weight loss slows down when they are not drinking enough water.

I lost 12 pounds the first week of induction, and didn't see another loss for two weeks.

Stick with it! I am now down nearly 20 pounds at six weeks in. You can do this
Mini Goals (in no particular order):
Mini Goal #1: Fit back into "Fat Jeans" - MET 3/25/10!
      Mini Goal #2: 225
      Mini Goal #3: 210
      Mini Goal #4: 199
Mini Goal #5: Remove wedding ring for repair (Happily Married!)

Right off the bat, you might double check your bacon and onions. Bacon can be cured with sugar and certain onions are higher on the glycemic index than others.

Push the water and be patient.

As one who is loosing weight extremely slowly, my progress has to be judged on other factors. My blood sugars, blood analysis, how I feel, am I less sleepy, how do my clothes fits, etc. You have to look at the whole picture, or those scales will drive you nuts!

Even if I stayed at the current weight forever, I cannot see how falling off the wagon would do anything but screw up what progress I've made up til now.

Stick in there! We're pulling for you!
