    LIke many of you I am trying to be patient for my weight loss. I was happy at 130, I looked hot at 130. However if I can look as hot at 140 I will be happy. Right now I just want something to happen that is visable to me. Others say they can see it but I personally can see no difference.

      Thanks for your replies. I wasn't really looking for advice on my own weight loss so much as seeing if I'm the only one who really feels the pressure to meet a certain weight ideal even if my current weight is far from being fat or even overweight.
      There's a study out today about nine year old girls using steroids in order to shed excess body fat and get that lean sculpted look of models and actresses of our times.
      So much of it is cultural too..from what we see in the media..even based on race and sex My black friends think I'm "small" but my white friends think I'm "chunky and could stand to lose a few pounds." My male friends look at me like I'm crazy when I say I'm dieting and my female friends tell me to keep it up no matter how small I get.

        Bottom line: Don't let other people's opinion of your size affect you. Do the right thing; follow Atkins for good health and the weight loss will be automatic. Exercise regularly, take your supplements and drink your water.

        The ideal weight is the healthy weight.

          I'm at this point myself, trying to figure out where goal exactly is. I'm down to about 135lb, haven't been this weight or size in over 10 years and feel fantastic. I wear a size 8 and sometimes a size 6.

          Weight wise I'm not really looking to drop much more, I just want to up the weight training and exercise and get more muscular. I'm also playing with maintenance eating and seeing how I go maintaining my current weight.

          I think goal for me is just around the corner and I'm not basing it on size or weight - just on what I'm happy with and how I look.
