  • Road Trip & Fenway Park

    Hello:

I have just started Atkins & I have a road trip next week to Fenway Park. I'm looking for car snack suggestions, car meal suggestions, and any suggestions on food to eat at Fenway.

I'm a little nervous because road trips & baseball games have always been places of food self-indulgence.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As I always say when people ask - car snacking is bad habit to try to stop. We should try not to eat just because we do an action (drive, watch tv, sit in front of the tv) etc. Eating are for meals or for snacks that we need because we are hungry.
I suggest packing water to sip on. Cut up vegetables, meat (like cold chicken wings) and a bit of cheese and boiled eggs. Use a small cooler. Enjoy the game with your water bottles and imagining that you will soon be as fit as some of those good looking guys on the field.

First..I am totally jealous. I tried to get tickets for several different games with no luck. Next year I will try harder. We are doing concerts instead this year.

There must be something that you can eat at Fenway.

Other than that, I usually have packets of cheese (those Cabot ones..you might have those in ME) or the mini-belle ones (not sure of the name). I just put them with something cold (like a water bottle) if possible. I also have almonds with me all the time. I see you are on induction but if it is between a few almonds and french fries or funnel cake, I think the almonds are ok. Then there is the boring celery sticks.

      Good luck, and have fun!!

When I roadtrip, I usually take cheese sticks, pepperoni, nuts, fruit, hard boiled eggs, celery and cream cheese, and lots of water. (nuts and fruit if you're on that rung only.)
