  • De-caffinated Tea Can any1 help me!!!!!

I had for breakfast 2 slices of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 egg, 2 tomatoes, and 4 mushrooms but was missing my cuppa tea with it. It says you can have de-caffinated tea but your not allowed to have milk but hate black tea is there anything i can have instead of milk any suggestions will be very helpful.

    Thanks

    HIya,

You could try unsweetened double cream in it thats quite nice, but be sure to only have around 90ml / 3floz only. Should you feel your weight loss slows though i would drop this otherwise enjoy

As Claire said, you could use a little cream instead of milk. Some people water it down to a milk consistency.
But the daily 'allowance' of double cream is only 2-3 tablespoons, with the larger amount Claire mentioned being an occasional addition under the special category section of the allowed list.

          Cream is the alternative.

This only my experience but I used to hate black tea and now it is the only way I can drink it. What I did was promise myself that if I tried it for a week and still hated it I would go back to using milk, after a few days I was fine. The main thing I did was to have the tea quite weak to start with and then gradually brewed it stronger.

                Hi,

I gave up milk years a ago (another fad diet) and try it really weak to start off with - after a couple of days of 'yuk' you'll be surprised how quicklu you get used to it!
Or try black decaf coffee instead - though i would say only Nescafe Alta Rica Decaf is up to standard!

Note: To those of us to the LEFT of the pond! Double cream would be compared to U.S. Heavy Whipping cream.

As a substitute to milk, it is great!

For those who like their tea or coffee flavored, your local grocer should have a sugar-free flavoring (like vanilla or hazelnut) in the form of a "syrup". These can be found in the coffee/tea/creamer section of your store. (Just watch where the artificial sweetner comes from, some of them are bad news.)
