I just wanted to post something in regards to people like me who have so much weight to lose, that it seems impossible. My advice is always savor the small milestones, because looking at it from a big picture view point, will make you crazy and want to stop. When I first started this wol, I tried to go outside and walk, I could only walk past 4 houses and then barely turn back and come back home. I would breathe so hard that I had to chew gum to cover up the heavy breathing. So I just do my walking now on the treadmill. This morning being Mother's Day, I decided to go outside and see how far I could walk, see my progress. A gift to myself. I doned my son's Ipod, and started to walk, I was bopping to the music, enjoying the scenary. I figured that since coming back to my house was uphill, I better turn around and start walking back. Then I went by car to measure the distance. I did half a mile. I have come along way since my 4 houses down and back again. This is why I always advise people to bask in the small successes as they will bring you to larger successes.

Way to go! It is a beautiful day here in the pacific northwest and you have inspired me to get off my rear and take a walk.

Thanks you guys, it's almost embarassing to post that.. but for people like me that have such an uphill battle, I thought it was worth it...even though really half a mile isn't that much...
