  • Sausages!!!

Back on Atkins this week after being ill.

I found some sausages in my local Aldi and they are Bratwurst and they are only 1.0 g of carbs and 1.0g of which sugars and also some Nurnberger sausages per 100grams is 1.1 g of carbs and 0.9g of which sugars, Can some1 tell me how i go about finding them on my fitday calorie counter and most importantly if im allowed to eat these.

    Re: Sausages!!!

You have to read the ingredients to know whether or not these are acceptable.

As for FitDay, you need to enter them as a custom food. There's a link that says Create A Custom Food on the left side of the page (assuming you are in the Foods tab, which is the default one).

        Re: Sausages!!!

Well, I wouldn't eat the nurberger sausage on Induction.

And the bratwurst contains too much non pork ingredients for me, and the "glucose syrup" is a deal breaker for me.

          Re: Sausages!!!

Maltodextrin, dextrose and glucose syrup are just different names for sugar.

I wouldn't eat those sausages, but some people do and continue to lose weight and keep their blood sugar under control.

You could try them and see how they work for you...
