    coffee?

Ok so some say coffee with heavy cream and splendid is ok?
I read that besides the possible caffeine affects that it may give you cravings to eat more. But when I was drinking coffee it didnt seem to affect my weight and it actually curbed my appetite.
Do you think that this means later I can add coffee once i M closer to ky goal?

For what it's worth, it's "Splenda", not "splendid".

Did you go with and without caffeine for longer times, so that you could roughly see how it affects your weight loss? Just because you are losing, it doesn't mean regular coffee does not slow you down.

It might not slow you down though... and some people don't give up caffeine.

You could have decaf, if what you want is only the taste of coffee.

I sometimes drink decaf... maybe less than a cup per month though.

A few times a year I do have regular coffee.

I still drink coffee. I cut way back though. I was drinking 8-10 cups a day before. I am down to maybe 3. It does not seem to stall me and I never have cravings. I drink mine black though. I have also recently started drinking the folgers half caf type. It is really very tasty. I can't seem to drink the regular de-caf it tastes horrible to me.

Have you tried different brands? Some taste horrible indeed.

I have tried almost all of them. I did get one I like recently though. I am happy with my progress, I don't think i will ever completely give it up but cutting down is a major success in my opinion.

I gave up sugar, carbs and smokes and even men....I don't think I can give up anymore I may go bananas!

I'm a high school teacher, so I prefer my coffee in an i.v. LOL I never stopped drinking coffee, but I have noticed that since being on Atkins I naturally have more energy. Whereas I used to down an entire pot of coffee over the course of a day, I now only have a couple cups a day.

Oh and btw if you do drink coffee, don't forget we are limited to 3 servings a day of sweetener and do count the carbs in the coffee. They can add up real quick.

                        Re: coffee?

I still drink coffee.... I've been very fatigued anyway... after the chemo and stuff... so I need a jump start .. just one cup in the morning....

maybe I'd lose faster without it... but MOST mornings.. I have a cup... (the only days I don't is if I have something coming up and going to the bathroom multiple times isn't convenient... coffee makes me go a bunch)

Peytonn, I am bad, I don't count coffee carbs. Just the splenda and cream I add to it. But I have been drinking it daily since the star w/o a problem
