  • Carb Options is here to stay!

After seeing a thread the other day on the board about Carb Options discontinuing their line of products, I decided to phone the company rather than panic-shop and clean my grocers shelves of my chosen favorites.

I spoke with Customer Service, and the woman was quite shocked that this rumor was floating around.

She assured me that Carb Options is going nowhere, is not discontinuing their line, nor are they even re-naming it.....zip, zilch, nada.

I was pleased, as I'm sure some of you will be. :yes

I've only really ever used their marinara, but I am still happy to see that they are staying around for us. If you can afford it both financially and carbs-wise please try their products and help them stay around a good long time.

I love the ranch dressing, bbq sauce, italian and terriaki marinades, and spagetti sauce. I'm doing induction now so only using the salad dressing. But I'm so glad to hear they are here to stay for later on when I'm not in induction.

The problem is finding the stores still willing to carry them. I had to go to 3 different chain grocers to find ONE bottle of of the CO BBQ sauce. Our super Walmart is putting the CO items on sale every other week it seems. I snatched up 8 bottles of the CO Ragu sauce at 88 cents each. I am having a hard time finding the CO ketchup. Good thing I use them sparingly so I don't run out too soon...but sooner or later if sales don't pick up or demand isn't there...these stores will stop carrying them.
Our health food store refuses to carry anything labeled LC because she says no one comes in to buy it and it goes bad. Granted...I'm against the candy bars, shakes, sweets etc (for myself), but the things that enhance meals like the tomato sauce or BBQ sauce or ketchup...which is, to me, a condiment not the whole meal...or snack....are getting harder and harder to find because sales are down on the LC crap, which stores are basing their sales on. :raving

I'm not sure where you're from, but Jewel's is a major chain as well as Meijer's. Both carry Carb Option products.

You might try calling Carb Options yourself and asking them for specific stores in your area that carry their products. :wave

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I love their peanut butter, but it has partially hydrogenated vegetable oil in it - a big no-no.

I absolutly could not live without thier ketchup. I was on atkins for 3 weeks and I was about to quit from my deprivation of this, I need ketchup, it is fundamental for my survival. Anyway CO ketchup tastes exactly the same to me as Heinz.

I am such a ketchup nut, I used to eat crackers topped with ketchup when I was a kid. It was so delicious, carbs and sugar, come on who wouldn't love it. Now that I think of it, where were my parents while I was loading myself up with this junk?!? I would never let my little girl make such poor eating choices. Sigh, you live you learn.

I saw some Carb Solution products today at the vitamin store. Know anything about those?

Hmm... I noticed at the local grocery stores here that all of the LC products (not any particular brand) are on clearance and being discontinued. I asked about this, and was told that the stores carry these items beginning in January and then stop when demand decreases. They have a certain "season" for these items that is centered around the New Year and people making resolutions to lose weight.
Are the Carb Options products available online?
