If you are eating the correct amounts of veggies, you should be able to hit the 20 gram amount fairly easily. Anything less than 20 will slow your weight loss.

        I don't usually, but sometimes I do.

Still, going biologically 0 is veddy veddy dangerous and is different than eating 10 net carbs, because you need to eat your veggies!

I always ate my three cups of veggies on induction, more now. Depending on the one's I chose to eat would influence the carbs. The important thing is eating the three cups of veggies.

            I eat!

I eat my three cups of veggies a day, but almost never hit 20 carbs. I've also gotten to where I have a hard time finishing all of my food. It's the woe though. I do make sure I eat 3 regular size meal a day and drink all my water. The amount of water I drink may also have something to do with it. That water will fill you up pretty quick :yes

I had a hard time trying not to go over the 20 due to the veggies. I love em and used different ones in my salads..not just lettuce and cucumbers. I never could understand how some couldn't get close to 20 with all the veggies you're allowed to eat and the variety that's out there. I guess if you're not a veggie lover..it can be a problem.

By the end of the day I was sometimes a little over 20 because of the veggies I ate. I lost just fine! Veggie carbs shouldn't be feared. Its the other carby things such as pkg'd processed stuffs that should be avoided and feared.

I was lucky to hit 15 most of the time. I never went up to 20. I'm not very creative and always throw my lunches together in the morning. I, too, was always full and had a hard time getting all my food in.

why am I the only one that had no problem hitting 20 carbs,, I had a hard time staying below?? I still lost 6lbs doing that, so I am happy. Now 3 weeks later, its harder for me to hit it, and I can even have 5 more

I think you misread the rules for induction. It does not say eat 20 net carbs it says to not exceed 20 net carbs with the majority of your carbs coming from your veggies.

Esting those 3 cups of veggies is the most important part of your carb consumption as we are laying the foundation for a healthy way of eating to maintain our health and weighloss when we reach our goals and veggies are a very very big part of Atkins WOE.

                            Happy low carbing to you.

I too averaged around 17 carbs a day.. I just depended on what I ate.. If you eat mostly iceberg lettuce for example as your veggies..you don't get many carbs in.. But with some variety, I usually always was above 15.. I think ome folks forget to add up all the little carbs too...like many think of eggs as 0 carb when they are not.. and cheese too.
