I have gone by the book (or so I thought) since October 05. I had lost 66 pounds up to Sunday and believe me it was far from easy. I worked out 7 days a week and most days over 2 hours. But I have found my problem. I was stalled for the past few weeks and got on this forum and learned a few things. First I quit drinking the shakes. Thought they were ok but learned not to. Second I have left off my cheese. I realized it should be a privelidge for me. If I eat a little I can't stop. Third I made sure I drank my water no excuses. I have also made sure I'm eating the right amount of veggies. I went from154.5 Sunday to 149.5 today. And have TOM as well. I also started Tae bo bootcamp and have cut my exercising to 4 days a week with rest days just like he says. I lost a total of 6 inches with only 6 workouts. 2 in my waist. Without this forum and info that wasn't in the book I probably wouldn't have done it. Thanks guys.

I thought I would share thiswith everyone and make the point that yes only we can lose the weight for ourselves but everyone here who has given me or anyone else advice has had a part in it too whether you think so or not! Oh and now when someone says how do you do it I'll say read DANDR and got to the atkins diet bulletin board too.Pam

Cheddar cheese mostly. I think my 3-4 ounces started getting bigger and bigger and bigger. It is worse than cake for me. I used to have like a leaf of romain lettuce and probably 4 oz of cheese for my salad. I don't crave it or have to have it but if I do I can't stop and I was fooling myself by saying oh I haven't had too much today. Cheese on everything it just kept getting to be more and more. I just won't have it for a while.Pam

Hey Pam I am with you on this one.
Very much so !!!
DANDR was of course the main base, but indeed without this forum I would never have come down from my stall I think!!!
For me it was to realise I didn't eat enough and reading the posts and stickies was what helped me get to losing again.

I also have to say that is is a lot easier when you know that if you have a problem you have someone to ask who may have had the same thing. Since everyone is different what may break a stall for one might do it for another. It is so positive here and we are all going through the same thing. It's weird to feel you have friends you've never even met but I can say I do. I wish I had found this board 6 months ago. I know this thread may sound corny but I still say I have a lot more info. now than before.Pam
