  • Cravings off the chart

    I have not had cravings like this in3 months and it is nuts I so much right now wanna eat somehting I shouldn't I won't cause I am stong this is nuts though. To top that off I am having my TOM early like almost 10 days early. I'm sure you have all been checking out my other posts about my thyroid and stuff does this have to do with the thyroid. My fatigue muscle soreness aching early mensturation cravings or is this just hormone related. I won't know till Probably Tuesday but, I am just bummed with the way my body is acting right now. Oh, and I am ravinously hungry like I can't eat enough. WEIRD.

    :hug been there last yr after the knee surgeries.

    Keep your fats high and with your dificulty swallowing make sure you are downing enough cals to meet your needs.

    TOM can wre4ck blood sugar control for anybody and that is the4 driving force behind true hunger. try small often meals during this time and check to see if any of your normal foods have reforumulated to add new ingredients too as sometimes that can mess you up without you even suspecting it.

      Thanks 2Big as always great info and a lot of help. I make all my condinments from scratch other then mustard so I know what goes into all my foods I have upped my fat significantly during the last week cause of my swallowing so I hope this all goes in time. I added good oil Coconut oil so I hope that will bne good for now. I have also been making myself milkshakes eggs some cream and decaff coffee so that I get more calories. I mashed some Brocolli and had some scrambled eggs with the coconut oil as well as scrambled eggs and mayo slathered ontop. I find it hard right now to get my veggies the only way I can eat it is if I really chew which is good. The news is better tonigh cause I ate a lot of veggies in the form of broccolli which I know I should limit due to thyroid but, it's all I had and at least it was somehting.

        if that coconut oil is new to you I'd drop it ansd go back to my old oils and see if the cravings go away.

          Sarah, can you take L-glutamine for the cravings? Also, how much water are you drinking? I am so into drinking iced tea now (no sweetener) and I swear by its effects to curb my cravings...

          You do need to eat though to keep up your strength .. like 2big said, lots of good fats will help keep you full and not craving bad stuff.

          I wish you well,hon. Please let us know ASAP what the doctor says.
