  • WATER CHALLENGE ANYONE.

    I noticed I barely got any water in yesterday, since I was so incredibly busy all day. So today I want to have 100 ounces before noon. :bfish

    And hopefully 164 before I leave at 4pm

    PLEASE give me advice on how to do that... I keep a bottle with me at all times... but if I get in 3 - 24 oz bottles I'm doing good....

    it makes me sick.... naseated.......

    I WANT to drink more.... but HOW?

      I can only drink water that has gone through reverse osmosis, dasani, aquafina and culigan station at WalMart
      but instead of bottled water we have RO macines at work so I have an endless supply.

      I get a 32 oz cup and first thing in the morning I just drink the entire cup and then refill it before I leave. I take my first drink and don't stop until I have to. After the first cup it gets easier

        but that's over 2 and a half GALLONS... I just can't get it going...

        and I drink Dasani or aquafina mostly.. (sometimes dannon or crystal springs).....tap water is out of the queston for me..

        I can tell a difference in brands now...

          NO a goallon is 128 oz I am only hoping for 160,

          64 down and going to get the next 32

            lol.... gosh.. what was I thinking???? 64 is only a HALF gallon...

            ok.... I guess it seems more reasonable now....

              sometimes i nibble at small bits of salty snacks (pork skins) to help me get down the water...

              maybe one day i'll be able to meet the kind of goal you have... i hope so!

                I found that I tend to drink a lot more if I am drinking through a straw. My HUbby too. Don't know what it is abou thte straw, but it works for us.

                    I went out and got a 2 quart bottle. I fill it about a quarter full at night and stick it in the freezer. In the morning I fill it with water out of our dispenser, and away I go. I have to drink 2 and a half bottles a day, so its a lot of chuggin', but I try to drink every time I look at the bottle. That way, I'm not glugging it all at once, which will make you nauseated. As you get used to drinking more, you will actually start craving and enjoying it more. Its like everything else in our messed up bodies...it took a while to get ourselves used to running on dry, now we have to recondition ourselves to running the right way...hope it helps.

                      I have found if I chug a lot of water, especially before a meal when I'm hungry, it makes me queezy.

                      I have a 1.5 liter bottle with me at all times. I drink 2-1/2 to 3 of them daily. I usually take about 5 good swallows at a time.

                      It does get easier. The more I drink, the more I want. The difficult part for me is to not drink much an hour before bed or I'm up all night! :yikes

                        I found a mega sized jug at a drugstore this weekend...it holds 64oz...is insulated(with a side pocket for an atkins friendly snack) and comes with a straw...I fill it up in the morning and add a squeeze of lemon...during the day I have at least two cups of decaf white tea and then I fill my jug up again when I get home and drink from it for the rest of the evening. I used to hate water but I now crave it over everything else. I used to drink nothing (seriously NOTHING) other than coca cola...now its water all the way.

                          I find that I drink alot more water, by drinking from a 24 ounce bottled water. I keep one in the car, and in the den,where we hang out. I just keep refilling it, when the water is done. It's an easy way to drink the equivalent of 3 glasses at a time! :nod

                            Got the full 160 ounces in yesterday, plus some, so THANKS for the challenge. It got me thinking about it!

                              I"m going to do BETTER today! I stopped and bought Dasani today.... I READY !!! I know i can't meet your 160 challenge... but I promise to do at lease 24x3 what's that 72? that would be a new high for me!
