    I've had a few people get on me about the woe and I ask them where they got their info, did they read the book, do the know how he really died, or do they believe everything they hear? i say it in a nice way of course.

      That was good, i enjoyed it. The only problem I had was with the caller how said they were back on the diet and couldn't loose weight, Dr. A mentioned Meds or thiroid problems and I don't think the caller had either. So he didn't give a complete answer.

      I too went off Atkins and is back on and my weight loss is no where near as fast as it was the first time. But it was a very good post.

          I personally think it's funny how this thread started a year ago, and MOG mentioned how the Atkins people wouldn't still be in business....

          Sometime last year they filed bankrupt. I think it's b/c the crap they sell, with the exception of the vitamins, goes againsn't the foundation of the diet...and us Atkin followers know better

          I have family memebers who think it's a big conspiracy and the death certificate was fabricated and it was all a huge cover up and blah blah blah....

          But it's only the one's who are overweight that seem to have an opinion...hmmmmm

            JSJ, it's been a year later and I occasionally have people telling me Dr. Atkins died from his diet. I tell them this " Well, I've read the book and I can't find the place where it says you have to slip on an icy New York sidewalk and hit your head hard enough that you lose consciousness and sustain massive head injury. So I don't think the diet contributed to his death at all..."

                but regained ~20# in '07 in less than 3 weeks! And again early '08 ...Was in HEAVEN -got to 150, for awhile, then got too busy, and gave in too much... and... OK holding pattern "keep it together..."

                  OMG I am SO excited!! I thought I was the only one who had to defend this WOE against this kind of crap! LOL the other day when I told a friend I was doing Atkins, he was like...ohh isn't that the loony guy who died of his own diet? I was like....wellll....you're gonna die of yours too (mr.pepsi-for-breakfast)..does that make you a loon as well?
