    Hello Everyone:

Haven't been on the adbb in quite a while although have been living the Atkins life for almost two years and maintaining my goal of 105lbs. I cheated a couple of days ago (handful of chocolate eggs i found leftover from Easter :no ) and had the worst leg cramps ever later on that evening, was wondering if anyone could explain why that severe of a reaction.......I guess the overload of sugar must have just been a shock to my system, although I have cheated before (twice) without a reaction. Any thoughts? Also, put bf on Atkins....he's doing a clean induction.....lost 6lbs in 10 days....but he says his legs feel like lead, any comments?

Having fatigued, or 'lead legs' is normal, and it'll pass but the leg cramps need a little something extra. You might want to look for a calcium/magnesium/potassium blend supplement, as potassium helps leg cramps, and it's best when combined with the other two.

Hmmm.... I woke up last night with terrible cramping in my leg. After a little over two weeks of induction I ate cake at a reception yesterday. Never thought there could be a connection between that and the cramping though. One more reason to stick to this plan.......

You should also consider switching from table salt to Morton Lite Salt, which has a third LESS sodium, but is made with potassium chloride, an excellent way to get more potassium in your diet. And it tastes the same as salt! Look for it next to the regular salt in the grocery store.

This is great suggestion Betty!! Also, I never knew that my calf muscles cramping awfully bad especially at night was due to I ate some carbs. Just another reason to stick to this woe faithfully.
