I can't stomach room temp water. I find ice cold water to be so much better, PLUS ice cold water burns more calories because your body has to warm up the water which uses up energy. If you drink warmed water already then you don't get this benefit!

I might have to squeeze some lemon juice in the water and see how that goes when I start the program on
Actually, Lemon juice is known to help increase your metabolisim and give energy...an old army trick.

ou know another think that helps me get my water down is not to drink it so cold
Well, heres a dilly about cold water, when you drink it, your body has to warm it up through thermogenics.....arigo, its going to raise your metabolisim ...hehe

so cold lemon water for all!!

I was never a water drinker before I started this WOE. As time went on, I was able to drink more, and now it seems I can't get enough. Its like a habit, once you have developed it, you just keep going. I keep bottled water at arms length, in the car, in the den! I just reach for it habitually now! This will come to you with time!! :nod

Thanks for all the suggestions! Might do some ice water and buy some bottled lemonade which I hear is ok or some lemons and squeeze the juice in the cold water. Johnny ha

You can also just slice the lemons thinly and let them soak in the water. That way, the lemon slices will flavor the water, but add in minimal carbs.

If you have fresh mint or some other "sweet" herb, you can also dunk a few sprigs in your water.

Someone posted in another forum that they soak cucumber slices in their water as well.

BTW, I'm an ice-cold water drinker too, except in the winter, when I drink water hot.

Hi, i am a non-water drinker lol.... i hate water, i will go all day without drinking if all i have on my desk is a bottle of water go figure... so i am one of those people who have to make a conscious effort to drink water.. and its sort of like a reverse addiction.... you have to keep doing it or you will easily fall out of doing it.

This is what i usually do (since water in the morning before i eat anything makes me nausous (really it does lol this isn't psychological), i usually drink a 4 oz of pop or eat somthing first thing in the AM,

                      1) then before work i start drinking 33 oz bottle that i MUST FINISH before i leave the garage of my work to go into work even if it makes me late and i have to spend 5 minutes in the car drinking the last little bit.

                      2) I then fill that up with britta water at work and drink the next 33 oz before lunch at 1:00.

                      3) i drink the final (MUST DRINK IN A DAY) 33 ozs before 7:00 p.m. which is usually right before i walk in my house after work.

                      Here are some tips..
before you go to the bathroom take at least 5 long hard swigs of water... then another 5 after you go.
Before you eat drink an 8 oz glass of water, try and take a drink between each bite.
If you are at a sit down job like me.. make a game of drinking for example.. after you get a phone call, take 5 long swigs of water... if you get up to do something take a couple swigs before you do and a couple after you do...
If you feel road rage because of some idiot driver take a couple swigs of water before yelling at them.

These are just some ways a non-drinking of water drinks close to 100 oz of water a day if not more.

Hope that helps.. good luck... angel

and to add to that.. throw away your water bottle cap.. so you are stuck drinking it!

It could also be that once you are in ketosis you will find it way easier to drink water, cause you have a terrible cottonmouth !!
If you make sure you don't drink any other drinks anymore so you only have water available you will start drinking it and start liking it, I know for sure !!
