has anyone experienced significant hair loss since going on the atkins diet? my hair has started falling out for the past month and a half, and this diet is the only thing i have changed in my life. i was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

thank you for the information. its is nice to know that there is a cause for this, but i am still upset about it. does anyone know how long it lasts? does your hair only grow back if you go off the diet or will it start growing back while continuing to eat low carb? does anything make it worse or better? i am not sure where to go for questions, but i am in a bit of a panic.25/F, 5'5"

I found that my hair loss started to subside at the 6 month point. Everything went back to normal.Susanne

You can get a supplement called biotin. Your local drug store should have it. Do a google search on the effectiveness of biotin. HTHMake it a happy low carb life!
