I've only been on this forum for 12 days now, and already I can appreciate the hard work that the moderators put in. The moderators, as well as a bunch of folks who post frequently, must read the same damn posts over and over and over again. Your support, advice, and feedback does not show that you are frustrated at all by answering the same question 20 times every week (and maybe you're not!)
I also want to thank you all for being so strict and "by the book" (literally!). On my first attempt at Atkins in 2003, I lurked a bit on this board, but spent most of my time posting on a different Atkins site. I remember thinking that you guys were like the Atkins Nazis. Now, I can appreciate that. If I want to have low-carb bread on day 5 of induction, it's not ok. I needed to know that. There is a problem with being "too supportive". If I'm doing something wrong, I want to know about it, and I thank all of you for being firm on the rules and conveying it in the nicest possible way.
One more thing -- I'm guilty of doing this myself, but I'm not apologizing for it. A lot of times we will read something on this board repeatedly, but it might not sink in for a few weeks. Example: drinking 64+ oz. of water, or exercising, might boost your weight loss or break a plateau. Even after we've read this a million times, it's not until we experience our own success with it that we decide to post it like it's breaking news. This is one of those things that I love about this board. I think most of the members on this board are sensitive to the fact that we're all on different stages, and when you hear someone say "I lost 3 pounds the first day!" or "I've been on this diet for 3 weeks and have only lost 5 pounds!" the responses are thorough and genuine, as if it's the first time that it has ever been posted.
So anyway, thanks ADBB & moderators.
