I want to know exactly what it is that determines WHERE on your body you get fat. I'm 5'2 and weigh 170. Of course that is too heavy for my height. The thing of it is, my arms are very muscular, and my legs are amazing, and you could bounce a quarter off my butt (don't mean to sound conceited...lol)however, I have this GUT!!! All of my weight is gained in my stomach. I don't get hips and thighs like normal women. Heck, I know alot of you women can't stand your hips and thighs, but I'd give anything to have just a little more fat there and a little less in my stomach. I have such hips that I wear only a size 6 to 8 jeans so they don't fall off me, but with that comes the dreaded "muffin top". It's "sloppy" looking if you ask me. I have to always wear bigger shirts to hide all the lumps...thank goodness for having a bigger chest, which helps me pull it off, but still....for once, I'd like to wear a tight shirt.
Now, as for doing sit-ups and crunches...I hear mixed things. I hear on one hand that working the muscle can help you trim down. On the other hand, I hear that building the muscle only adds to the bulk, pushing the fat more forward, thus giving the appearance of being even fatter.
What to do, what to do?
