He was confused & complained for a bit (lots of meowing), so I solved the problem by making a "step up" to the catbox by using a few bricks. I covered the bricks with an old towel to protect his little paws from getting roughed up. So far, no more complaints from the cat, and no temptations on stepping on the scale. Oh, yeah....he's a spoiled cat, too!! Can't ya tell?? He's only been living with us for a few months & already he's taken over!
