    I'll join in also...1/2 my weight is 75 oz...my water bottle is 20 so should be quite easy....I have 1 question though....does this come with a bladder control pill????

      188oz would be 23.5 eight ounce glasses of water. Are you sure you want to commit to drinking that much? Why? Do you think your body will somehow benefit by drinking double or triple the recommended amount?

      Your own citations state that the above mentioned condition is rare and usually only occurs when a large amount of water is consumed in a very short period of time OR if extremely strenuous exercise is taking place, such as a marathon. They all agree on that. I don't intend to drink my water all in one sitting so I think I will be okay. I already drink 4 32 oz bottles of water a day with no ill effect and much beneft so you can rest assured that I will be observant as I monitor the effect of the added water. Perhaps my body will not need more and then I will adjust accordingly. Thank you for your concern however. It did give me pause and allowed me to think about this challenge.

        i'm glad to see so many accepting the invite to try this challenge! a challenge it will be and much harder for some of you. most are well under a gallon a day, a few are a gallon +.

        we all know the importance water as it was discussed in the book. this is going to aid your weight loss, help clean the toxins and flush your system and help with your digestion and help with not feeling hungry. so many benefits. remember, it's going to help if you get or stay active.

          i don't want anyone to worry about water intoxication for the reasons stated by UrbanShaman. yes, there is such a thing as what aelt had mentioned (thank you for pointing this out and for stating your concern) but i believe the amounts you have stated are doable and well within the parameters.
          to ease everyone's mind, i'll cap the highest amount at 188 oz. since Urban was so kind to state that he already consumes 128 oz. throughout the day.

            My CW (282) means I'd be shooting for 141oz per day, yes?
            Well, since I don't plan to run any marathons until I can jog without risking two black eyes -- -- I'm pretty sure I'm not at risk for hypoatraemia.

                SURE! Count me In!!!

                Weight: 160 lbs.

                So put me down for 80 oz./day!

                I already went and bought a Container that holds up to (I think) 96 oz., and have been filling it up hoping to drink it all by the end of the day...so far I'm unable to, but then maybe it's because I'm not 'really' trying!

                This should be fun!

                    Alright Jimmie - I'm in!!

                    I drink water constantly - so I should really get a great benefit from this!

                    I need to drink 105 oz. everyday and it works best to keep it beside me all day while I work. Yeah - I have to get up a pee every half hour - but I just think of it as peeing my pounds away!!

                      fantastic!!! it's great to take a break from taxes to come in here and see a few more peeps taking on the challenge.

                      did i mention that there is another water challenge in the Challenges forum? it's very capable leader is fowlergirl and the goal of that challenge is just 64 oz every day of the month. some of you may want to check that out!
