  • Birthday Challenge

    I thought as an added incentive, it might be fun to start a birthday challenge. We all want to look and feel great on our upcoming birthdays, so why not celebrate our weight losses on our birthdays. They can be our birthday presents to ourselves.

    I'll start, my birthday is coming up Aug 2, 6 1/2 weeks from today, so I am targeting to lose 12 lbs, and weigh 210 lbs. What about you?

    I'll totally join in with ya! My birthday is on September 14th, which is 13 weeks or so from now. I'm 169.5 now, so I guess I'd love to be 155 by the time I turn 26 years old! So that's about... 15lbs? That's pretty realistic, right?

      Oct. 25th for me! Lets see, thats 19 weeks away, and I'm sitting like a brick wall at 320, so if I try really hard, maybe I'll make it to 299 by then! That's little over a pound a week! Think I can do it? I don't want one more birthday to find me over 300 pounds!

            My birthday isn't till April 21st....so I have a long way to go by then! I want all of my weight off by then....down to at least 170 pounds....

                Can I join? I just saw this thread!

                My birthday is July 31st. My hubby's big family reunion is July 30th. I SOOOOOO want to be at 130 by then!!! But I'd be thrilled to be at 135 :nod So that gives me just over 5 weeks. Hmmmm ensive

                  Welcome aboard Debbie! Is this a special birthday coming up??? You can do it, if you set your mind to, and we'll be here to root you along, afterall we're all in this at the same time, and can associate with the trials and tribulations that face us!!! :wave

                    Not a special one for me this year (49th) :yikes However, my hubby's birthday is Aug 3rd and it's his 5 0 !

                    I would definitely want to be at goal by my 50th!!!!! I just want to look and feel as good as I can by the end of July this year.

                      Two weeks from tomorrow is my birthday, so I need to crank it up. My goal is to get into the 180's, and I'm currently at 193. I've been losing weight in chunks though.. 3 pounds one week, then nothing for 3 weeks. Let's hope a 3.5 pound chunk is coming up!

                        Welcome Effie, maybe crank up your exercising, and water consumption a bit. Or try variety in your exercise. Do you eat much cheese? Just keep focussed, you CAN do it!!!

                            Ok, yesterday was pretty good for me. I did 45 min on the treadmill at a comfortable speed for me cuz I was/am sore from Monday's workout and my hip hurt like **** :raving

                            Foodwise, I was very good but did have a tiny glass of wine to help me sleep. My justification? I'm going through menopause and I refuse to take Premarin. I get the night sweats and with the summer heat, it's hard for me to get to sleep. Monday night I got about 3 hours. I had some green tea Monday night but it didn't help me sleep.

                            I do log everything into fitday so you can check my menu at anytime. It doesn't give you the net carb count though (doesn't show fiber count). <shrug>

                              I didn't do too bad over the weekend. Up a little bit (water hopefully) but not as bad as I usually do. I'm going to hit it hard tonight with weight machines and either the treadmill or the elliptical.
