  • Re: ICES CHALLENGE Move IT (Extended Induction)

Good evening everyone! I am proud to say I had a good day today.... I didn't exercise, nor did I have the time to- I worked both jobs today for a total of about 14 hours, however we did go out to lunch so I guess you can't count that Today for breakfast I had those egg mockmuffin things, lunch was a chipotle jack burger minus the bun and ketchup with broccoli instead of fries, light hotdog as a snack and dinner was squash and zuchinni with tomatoes and onions along with some arby's roast beef with a slice of melted big eye swiss cheese in it sandwiched together with lettuce. Not to bad... Water wasn't as good as I had hoped today but tomorrow will be better!

I am really curious what was in the mail... I have not so pure thoughts in my head***LOL***
Caution I BITE! clicky clicky..its tricky rikki!

Rikki I too am so proud of you! Your menu sounds sounds so great.

I packed my lunch today, I brought some pesto chicken salad, a cucumber sliced up with lime and hot sauce, and a cheese stick for breakfast. It's the first day back to school and work today in over a week so I need to get back into the groove of things.

Oh, I finally realized why I have been feeling so frumpy and out of sorts lately, started TOM today, lol. thank goodness, i thought i was losing my mind.

So did we lose some people from the start of the challanege, where is everyone at?

I'm not lost! I've been dealing with a critically ill partner for the past week, and eating a lot of food from vending machines. :P The good news is that though I gained 3 pounds, after only 2 days back on track I've lost 4! I'm down to 201 today and if TOM doesn't screw me over this week I'm hoping to be in Onderland by next week. I could really, really use that pick-me-up, you know?

I've been catching up on this thread, and you gals are doing wonderful. You inspire me.

And Sarah, I ran again last night for the first time in a week and it felt SO GOOD! I did 3.5 miles and my body needed that more than I can say. Today for the first time it actually feels like autumn, and I can't wait to go out tonight and do a few miles. My first 5K is next weekend! Eep!

I'm here!!! I didn't leave!!! I've been doing good again. Since the begining of the week I was down to the 249 I was at before I cheated, so like I said from here on out, no weighing in. I did mess up over the weekend but I didnt gain. But since then i've been good.

I've been kinda MIA because of my job. For about 2 weeks now I haven't said one word to any of my co-workers. So it's kind of hectic to just sit here for 9 hours a day and not speak. So i'm usually in "one of those moods" lately. lol. It's alright though. I've talked to my supervisors and higher up co-workers and they are on my side, so that makes me feel alot better. I've also decided it's time to move on, no matter how good this company is. I've sent in some resume's to some hospitals around here. Im thinking about switching my path from Business to maybe medical, who knows though. Im just all messed up, lol.

Anywho--We had a really bad storm here last night and my neighbors hugemungus tree got hit by lightning or something because its cracked all the way down the middle and a large branch fell off and is laying on our power cables. So we had to call the city and they are SUPPOSED to come out today and clear it, but we'll see if that happens. So I have no power. fun fun! But im not mad, it could be alot worse!

Well I hope everyone has a great day! Looks like everyone is doing really well!

I didn't vanish Hubby is home and you all know when he's home I kinda go MIA. We have sooo much to do to get ready for winter. Cutting and splitting wood all the fun stuff.

I went out today and ran my little but off it was a great run I went around 10 K I am thinking I felt good the whole run until I got a bad toe cramp. It was perfect running weather not too hot not too cold and a slight breeze I was sooo happy to be outdoors but, my stupid MP3 player is being stupid and was acting out so I had no music for about 3 miles of my run GRRRRRR.

I am doing well I'll weigh in on Saturday and Hope I am down undwer 200 but, if not I'll keep on trucking my worst feer would be being heavier then I was that would suck but, it wouldn't be the first time. I also need to buy a new tape measure mine grew legs so I need that so I can do my measures for my challenge I ahve been in.

Glad to see everyone is doing well. Great Job on the run Reveal I sure hope your other half is feeling better and you are not going to be in hospital any more. That's sooo hard but, hey you came out ontop which is totally awesome and lost 1 more pound YAY!!!

Speedy sorry bout your work and no it's not worth it if you are not happy, you're doing great and I am happy you are on track. Keep your head up we're here for you.

I better motor Take care all

Speedy, Sarah is right if you are not happy it isn't worth it no matter the company or the pay... However, I am a fairly strong believer in money happens to make the world go round.... as long as you have enough to make it!

OK gotta run go do some chores around the house and pack for tomorrow- I am dreading having to get all dressed up- Women are sooo funny- they dress to impress other women... we have to represent our salon well though I guess

That is so great sarah! I am so proud of you, you are so close.

Sorry I have been MIA the last few days, my air conditioner messed up and with the 90 degree heat tehre was no way we could stay at our house. We went to stay with my sister a few days. We finally got a technician out here yesterday and we need a while new unit, like 3700 dollars, ouch! He told us it got struck by lightening during the hurricane so we decided to file a claim with our homowners insurance. We just got assigned an adjustor and now we are waiting to hear when he'll be able to come out and look at it. I really hope the insurance pays for it because we really don't have an extra 3700 bucks for air condition. I've never filed a claim with our insurance company before so I'm not sure how the whole process works, here's hoping.

I did very light excercise last week, It has been a difficult week. I am committed to do more this week, but I refuse to do my tapes inside a house where there is no air conditioner so hopefully we will get it fixed today or tomorrow, here's hoping. If not I might hit the gym and start my training for a 5K. I'll just have to see when I can fit it in.

Ok, well I better go, I have a paper, an assignment, and 2 exams next week, plus this huge project at work this next week. It's gonna be a busy week. I'll make it through though, I always do.

Sarah--Congratulations on being down to 200! That's fantastic. I'm so happy for you, you've worked so hard. way to go!
Yoly--sorry to hear about the A\C, that really sucks. Im assuming that it's central air right? Maybe if your insurance doesnt cover it then you could go out and buy two window air conditions until you save money to buy the other. OUr home is 3 stories and we keep one in the first floor family room, and second floor has one in the wondow right infront of the sink so you can stand there and do dishes , and the third floor has one in the master room. We never run all of them at the same time, when we are home the one in the family room is running and then at night we keep the one in our bedroom on. electric is about $150 a month. so im sure it could be worse! we are leasing this place, we dont own so cannot put central air in. and it keeps this place very cool. just a suggestions. good luck.

As for me, i'm doing great. I've sent out some more resume's and already got a couple responses. On friday my boss called me into his office. It seems that the old b*****s that i work with, ALL OVER 45, told on me because i wasnt talking to them. this was from the same group of people who told on me for talking before!! uggh, drive me crazy. the boss said im not asking you to be friends im just asking you to show some professional courtesy! i said i already told my immidiate supervisor that if they have a question about work or i have a question, i will talk but i will not talk about anything else. so we'll see what happens next week! i hope i dont have another one of those days that i did on thursday, i was SOOOO close to just walking out. I went outside and vented to another co-worker that i get along with and they practically had to hold me back. i wanted to just walk. but im there because the bills need payed. hmmm.....well good luck with everyone. im off to get ready for a bridal shower. bye!

I am so proud of you, I wanted to take a moment and write down how much you mean to me and how great you are doing. You are here everyday, run or shine, air conditioner or no. You make this program look easy, you inspire others to work their butt off, me including and you never give up. You have a million excuses that you could use to put off your weight loss and absolutly no one would blame you, yet your here everyday, working, pushing. Making it happen. You listen to your body and you pay attention to it, you are a great role model, and friend. I am so proud of you and all of your hard work, I know it has been a long and hard journey but you have passed a huge milestone. I am so happy for you sweetie, I wish I was there to give you a big hug and do the happy dance with you, I know your doing it. LOL.

                            Congratulations again,
                            all my love,
