Re: ICES CHALLENGE Move IT (Extended Induction)

I got bit by the excercise bug! I feel postively fabulous, I don't know what it is but I am enjoying this burst of energy. Tonite I did Start it Up (52 minutes), Slim & 6 pack (11 minutes), and Slim & limber (11 minutes). I feel so great! And I believe I am extra jiggily today so that means I'm do for a whooshie, got to drink all my water.

It's late and I'm beat, I'm gonna go put a chick flick on and fall asleep on the couch watching it, one of my favorite things to do, something that I only do as a very special treat.

Oh wow have I had caffeine withdrawal headaches for the past 2 days. it was so bad i had to drink a coffee before my mid year performance review at work yesterday just so i could think through the pounding. but it's getting better and today hopefully i'll have no headache and not be tired midday.

i've started to park in the valley everyday and walk in to work up all those stairs to add to my exercise. gonna get to the gym tonight and do about 45 mins to an hour on the elliptical trainer - yay! and then there's puppyproofing the house for saturday when the new furball comes home

Hang in there caffeine free girls!

I broke the pop habit 6 years ago and it was BRUTAL at first but then super-easy! I rarely (as in once/3 months) have a sip or 1/4 cup of pop. I don't even like it now!

I'm feeling betterish this morning. Gonna go to the gym with dh regardless tonight!

I was thinking I should take a rest day but, then I would feel bad all day so I have decided to drop the milage back today and lift weights that way I should feel better for tomorrw. I know what this is caused by Auntie Flo the next week is gunna be really hard so I will press on and get what I need to do done but extra is out of the question.

So how is everyone elese doing today. WOW Speedy you haven'y had POP in 6 years that's totally excellent. I myself do have pop on occasion but mostly I have protein shakes all home made but I can't post the recipe on here sorry.

Re: ICES CHALLENGE Move IT (Extended Induction)

Maybe the excercise bug bit way too hard because I woke up this morning with a gigantic headache. My head is pounding so hard right now, I can feel a migraine coming on, a bad one too. I used to get them before but mostly they were caffeine induced, once I cut that out the migraine's dissapeared. Well today I have one, I took some Ibuprofen hopefully it will help some, I need to get some Excedrine Migraine, I remember that was the only one that used to help.

Re: ICES CHALLENGE Move IT (Extended Induction)

Wow, you all are doing amazing. I hope I'm not too late to join in!

I've been thinking a lot this week about what I want to challenge myself to do this month, and I've finally figured it out! In a word: vegetables. Lately I've been eating well from an Atkins perpsective, but when I really think hard about it I haven't been getting in the veggies I should have. I'm in ketosis again and losing weight and that takes away my appetite, so I'm satisfied with less and that's great and all, but I need more fiber from vegetables. So that's my challenge: 3 servings of vegetables a day! (A serving is so small, you wouldn't think it would be hard!)

Also, I'm determined to see myself into Onederland soon, but after that I swear I will give up my scale. I'm at 202 today and really feeling like it'll be soon. Hurrah! :dances:

As far as exercise goes, I've managed to become a running junkie so that's taken care of. I'm only up to about 3-4 miles at a go, but I'm in training for my first 5K next month so no fear of me slacking in that department! This is another reason I'm so interested in veggies - I just think my body is working hard and I need to make sure it's getting adequate vitamins and minerals from green vegetables!!

I love saying that, by the way. "In training." I think I'll say it some more:

Would you like some dessert, Rev? No thanks, I'm in training.
More sour cream, Rev? Can't, I'm in training.
Skip your run and watch a movie with me? No way! I'm in training!

                Hee.

Way to go Reveal I was wondering when you were gunna show up. SOunds like a good challenge to me to get those veggies in that's excellent. I think you're doing great woth the running FINALLY another runner on here basically we have all tape junkies LOL We are the running Junkies. I love running. I am PROUD OF YOU!! It's not an easy thing to do and take lots of patience and persistance to get the milage up but, in time it does happen. WOW we are twins my last weigh in I was 202 as wll LOL. We will probably hit Onederland the same day LMAO!!! That would be cool. I am not weighing till the 1st of the month caus that's afgter my TOM I don't wanna wait till the 12th cause I gain 2 weeks before tom so I will weigh sooner and hopefully will see a good downward trend.

Re: ICES CHALLENGE Move IT (Extended Induction)

It wasnt me that dropped pop sarah, that was mamakimberly. I can't drink pop anyway though. It's been water for me, thats it, since I was little. Im a migrainer! Thats why drinking TONS of water isnt a problem for me now with Atkins.

Since Im here. Hows everyones day so far? Yoly I hope your feeling better. I always keep excedrine migraine with me. It's a life saver. But when I can, I take it and then take a nap. Usually wake up feeling good again. But naps arent really an option for most, anymore!

Yesterday was alright for me. I did my WATP dvd and also had to help lift our jet-ski's off the trailer and onto the ground......WHHHEEEEW! I knew they were heavy but GEEZ! and we did some yard work. Today seems alot better so far. I didnt wake up this a headache so thats a plus. Also we're having new cable and road runner put in today so my sister in law is at my house now waiting and she called and said that my chihuahua peed on the NEW COUCH!!!! ugggh! But she's too cute so its ok. The funny thing is that my sister sat in it, lol. Thats what she gets for letting the dog out of the cage and not taking her directly outside! lol.

Hope everyone has a good day!
