  • To all my homies in the mid-year resolution challenge...

Man, I cheated. I cheated toooo much. Just got poor over here and ran out of food and starting living off of nasty food. Like grilled cheese sandwhiches and crap - not actual crap!

Anyway, payday is tomorrow, so I am going to go write me a "bad" check tonight at the food place and get back on track.

I am sad. I have been closely monitoring my weight and am still at 220, but no Atkins for the last 3-4 days. BOOOO.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I will be back on the train to whoosie-ville tomorrow a.m. Eating carbs has never sucked so hard! - tasty, yet crappy!

OK. Your punishment is you have to make the meanest face you can in the bathroom mirror.

I mean MEAN! Even growl! Say ARGGGGG!!!!!

Then say this: "Why couldn't the young pirate get into the scary movie?

    Because it was rated ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!"

Let me know when you've done this. I'll wait.

Ok. Well I have to avast me mainsails or me timber'sll buckle!

Don't beat yourself up. Laugh a little. Don't think you're a failure, because you're not. If failure were certain death we'd all be swinging below in Davy Jones' locker! Just exercise a little bit more for the next week (like an extra 5 minutes). Keep drinking your water, and keep swinging away!

We're here for you, and this is one of those very kinds of setbacks that happen in the real world. You'll get right back on and bobsyeruncle when it comes to weight loss!

(((Andrea))) if you ain't got the money for the food, you ain't got it! You did what you could and you luckily didn't gain. If this is something that happens often then maybe you can plan ahead a bit by buying some things when the money is flowing and make it up and put in the freezer. For instance I got 8 green peppers on the discount rack for 1.99 and I used them to make stuffed peppers. Also got a bag of precut broccoli for about the same price. Am going to make some soup out of that and freeze individual. Then when the money runs out and the family is having soup and grilled cheese you can pull out a stuffed pepper and a bag of soup for you!! Hang in there...you will be back in the groove in no time!!!

You've gotten some good advice. Just make sure you get back on the "A" train! That's how I fell off last time, we didn't have the money, but then it was too hard to get back on, so I didn't, and gained 30lbs!

Please don't beat yourself up anymore. We have all been in your shoes and feeling bad because we fell off the wagon. We are all human and we have to be able to forgive ourselves when we are not perfect. You did the best you could given the circumstances. Get back on plan and do like Jamie said and up your exercise some. You will make it. Remember, we are in this for the long haul. Thanks for being so honest. We all need to share in our struggles. It makes the burden lighter when we share them with our friends.
