Re: Mid-Year Resolution Thread for October 9-15th

Good morning my little New Year's Eve belles!

Elsie-- I do have vegetables in my scrambles and omelets, yes! Promise! Only I never made it through more than the omelet yesterday so my calories were way low. I'll need to try and eat a little bit more today or I just won't have any energy! I'm in Day 2 of induction again, so I'm going to hit induction flu soon, so I just really haven't been very hungry. Lipolysis does that. I'll be back up and running in no time! I'm coolio droolio!

Again, way to go on your pound! That's awesome!

Effie-- Legume rung is one I'll probably skip, too. I'm so happy with nut and dairy rung that I'll probably continue to stay there indefinitely once I get back into ketosis. No casting stones from me regarding lunch yesterday. I ate pizza the night before last and I'm paying for it now!

rybread-- macafoni and cheese sounds interesting! I've never eaten tofu before... I hear soy is supposed to be a pretty good protein source. Way to go on your loss again! You're doing GREAT!

How is everyone else doing? Check in.

Are you exercising? Eating what you should?

What is something you can do differently JUST FOR THIS WEEKEND?

        2 days isn't a big time investment. It's just 2 days...

        C'mon. What can you do?

Me, I'll be sure to get in my full exercise this weekend! I've struggled this week and need to recommit myself to walking everyday!

        How about you?

Effie...congrats on your half victory. I haven't tried any Chinese food...and maybe won't until I am at goal. By then I am hoping it will not taste as good as I remember it or I will be knowledgeable enough to get things that will not cause me binge or gain uncontrollably.

Ryebread...roasted chickpeas?? Wonder if the kids would eat the Mockafoni stuff??

Cleo...not being hungry...that has been my problem since day 1. I try to eat at my BMR and lately I have been doing this...if I have the carbs, cal and fat left over at the end of the day I make a drink with real milk and cream and mic it and add vanilla and cinnamon. MMMMM....very comforting. I only do this at the end of the day as I perfer to try to eat my food first rather than drink it. So far so good and no reaction to the milk as far as I can tell. Some said to beware as the milk has lactose in it.

THis week I have yoyo'ed up and down 2 pounds! Haven't been able to exercise as much as I usually do, as my shoulder is still pretty sore, and I'm on anti-inflammatory pills. I wonder if that affects weight loss as well? I tried jogging, and even walking makes my arm sore. Doctor says it could takes weeks, as I ripped something in my shoulder, from all that kickboxing! What a pain! Also been popping Tylenol 3 to ease the pain, and so I can sleep at night. I'm so anxious to get back to exercising again, but I'm afraid to overdo anything at this point. Food wise, I have been on target, and diligently watching inspite of the Jewish Holidays that are just over, with all that good carb rich food. I resisted alot of temptation, and dh told me how proud he was of me. I'm proud of me too!

Ebony-- I'm just like you! I have Netflix because it's how I get off my fanny and exercise! Without it there's no way I'd be putting in an hour a night. I'm no exercising diva. I'm just a girl who needs to keep my mind off of what I'm doing! *lol*

Once you get back into it, it's amazing how soon you start to feel something is amiss if you miss a session of exercise!

Happy Yom Kippur, cruiser gal! I was thinking of you! Way to go on being strong! I hate those 2 pounds that are tormenting you. They must simply go away.

                  Hi All,
Want to report that I finally had a loss since my last post which seems like eons ago. I'm down to 265 as of this morning. 21 more pounds to go until New Year's!! As to exercise, in the past three weeks I've packed to run away from the hurricane, unpacked and repacked to move into our new house, then unpacked. With all this packing and unpacking, somehow I lost 8 pounds. Phew! I need to move more often! Foodwise, it was tough with everything going on, but I didn't cheat. I even went for the first time to a restaurant and had to walk out because there was NOTHING that I could eat on the menu. It sucked but I was amazed of the will power.

Netflix is a thing where you can order movies online and they come to your mailbox and there are no late charges and stuff. It is an EXCELLENT deal if you have time to actually watch the movies. I ended up never watching them and cancelled. There is also one through Blockbuster movies. They had more available titles, but the movies took longer to get to my house, so it was a toss up!

Anyway, as for my weight, we are not weighing again until Friday, October 21st. I need to give that scale a rest anyway. I want to actually see a big fat loss like 2 whole pounds so I need to just work out and eat right and wait, wait, wait.

You know how time seems to fly the older we get? Well, this is one way I have found to slow time down is to not weigh. It makes the week greulingly long!

{{{Ebony}}}!!! I'm so sorry I didn't see your post right away!!! Netflix.com is where you can rent movies through the mail and then send them back and get new movies! It is cheaper and easier than Blockbuster and there are soooooooo many things you can watch! I spent a few months watching all the seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (hee hee), and now I'm watching Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda! I'm serious about watching tv while I walk. I am simply too bored in my house and would probably make up bawdy songs about neighbors walking by and get into trouble withouyt something to keep my mind off of what I'm doing. I walk an hour a day (most days, 5-7 days per week, depending). I get so into the habit that when I take a break it freaks me out!

Woohoo Andrea! Thanks for saying what Netflix is! I'm a few posts out of whack today. I'm so psyched about your camera! Ours futzed out so we need a new one. I agree with putting the scale away for awhile. I'm there, too! you are doing awesomely! Stick with it. We non-losers will get there again! we're just readjusting (plateauing)...

Cleo, have you watched Dead Like Me yet? When I had netflix, I ordered it and loved it!! Wonderfalls was pretty good too.

We FINALLY got paid yesterday so I'm going to go get myself some food either tonight or tomorrow, can't wait I feel horrible and sick all the time

I'm definately going to put away my scale though! And Tom is practically on my doorstep

I love you all, and cannot wait to report another loss.
