      • I want to join the christmas challenge!

        Well im only 1 pound away from my end of the summer challenge.
        So I thought it was time to sign up for the christmas challenge.
        I want to lose 30 lbs. for the christmas challenge.
        So as of today I weigh 200lbs. By christmas my goal is to weigh 170lbs.

          I've beeing going up and down for a year, no big change. This is the most i've ever lost at one time! When I first started trying to lose weight I probably weighed what I do now. I'd not eat for a few days, lost 10 l0lbs, then stuff my face when my will power gave out. Repeat process for the next 12 months, and here I am. Also a few failed attempts at induction thrown in there too. The longest I ever stayed on it was 7 days, and it still wasn't very good because I didnt know anything about cals or exorcising or that I should eat veggies.

          Though its taken me 47 days to lose 14 lbs i'm not complainin. After the horrible TOM cheats i've done, i'm surprised its as much as it is! There's also almost 22 inches gone forever!

          • Down 2.5 this week to 180! I'm halfway to my total goal and halfway (actually within a 1/2 pound) to my Christmas challenge goal.

            Everyone is doing so well. Even those who have not lost this week. You're here and you are trying.

            Mystique, how did you do with your water intake this week? I'm not where I was a month ago, but I took in 8-9 glasses per day this week instead of 3.

                Katie....we all have weeks where we don't loose.....but don't worry....It will happen again! Did you loose inches?

                  I would like to join you! Actually, for me it's more like a b-day challenge (my B is on dec 20th) but Christmas will do just fine : ))))))
                  My start weight was 200, now (at the beggining of the official challenge) is 180 and my goal weight is...as much as I can lose :joy lets say 150! Do you think that is too much till xmass?

                    • Time to re-adjust our goals!

                      Hi Ladies and Gent!
                      It is time for us all to take a good look at our goals and make sure that what we have set before us is realistic. I have made up a chart &lt;below> which tells us just how many pounds per week as of today that we would have to lose to reach our goal weight. I would love for everyone to feel fantastic Christmas morn and to reach or be very near thier goals.
                      From what I have seen these past 7 months is- in the beginning, many people lose from 2-5 pounds per week for the first couple weeks. It then slows to 2-4. After about a month or two, you can consistantly lose 1/2 to 2 pounds with the occasional whooshie :icondance No matter how much you stick to the Way of Eating, much of this depends on your metabolism. I am 41 and have a slow metabolism, yet I almost always can lose 1 pound per week, and sometimes 2(once a month or so..0). Lookie at how you are losing, and set or reset a goal that you know you can make if you stay on track.
                      I will be adjusting weights for about a week, and then we should be set and ready to move on UP!

                      20 pounds = 1.12 pounds per week
                      25 pounds = 1.14 pounds per week
                      30 pounds = 1.68 pounds per week

                      • and too help in this figurein it's 18 weeks less a day at this point till christmas

                        as to the weight, I only gained 2 pounds thru the whole week w/o power thing so I'm back to my start weight of 207... no big I've gained a little before &amp; I know why I did this time &amp; it's easily rectified so I'm not stressing.

                              The number isn't even registering. I didn't dance around and freak out like I thuoght I would when I got here, I just looked at the scale and went "huh, wadda ya know..."

                              I've lost 3lbs in the past.... oh iono, weekish, week and a half. After almost 3 weeks of absolutely nothing, being stuck at 197, i'm ecstatic! This is the 15lbs mark! I NEVER EVER thought i'd get here. 194 was like this massive barrier I've never been able to get over. I just hope I don't screw this up, now that i've finally gotten into territory I haven't ever been in. I can't believe that i'm only 3 lbs away from the 180s....

                              (PS. Mystique can you pretty pretty please change my starting weight to 208 and my goal to 165?? I upped my goal and changed my starting weight to my heaviest ever)

                                I will try hard! I decided and I am back to strict induction tomorrow! I also applied for the next boot camp so.....We'll se how it goes!
