  • Grrr. I called my sweety and told him I was back in my 15s, and also that my stupid cell fone hasn't come in yet. Did I get even a "yay!"? **** no. All he said was sorry about my fone. Men. Can't they pretend to be excited once in a while?

        • Must be in an induction stall, lost all of one pound this week.

          Current weight is 192

Fingers crossed for a whooshie. I've not been in my journal everyday thinking I'm obsessing too much over the very slow weight loss, friends and family and hubby tell me not to panic, it will come and that even if I'm not losing I appear to be 'reshaping'. What a great family I have!

mini goal 2: 158 - this is where my BMI starts being normal

GOAL 1: 145 - this is the weight I will be happy with! Then, I'll take it slowly from there...
GOAL 2: 130ish? I first set my goal at 118, but realized it might be just a bit low...

            • Sigh.....

I was so pleased that when I slipped up a few times during the 3 weeks I had company I didn't gain any weight. Now it appears that I'm stuck in place and can't LOSE any either...same number on the scale for the PAST 3 weeks.

I know I shouldn't get discouraged, but I was losing very slowly (about 1 lb/week) anyway, and this setback means that I won't meet my own 'mini-goal' of 225 by Sept. 22nd...my birthday.

So..... still at 234, Mystique. Just thought I'd save you from all that extra typing on the chart.... :yes

                  • Been a while since I last checked in... I'm going to weigh tonight!! I'm excited and scared.

                    Will post results tomorrow. :yes

Now, this challenge has been active!! Good!

Welcome to the challenge, Rissa! Guys, this lady is one tremendously friendly and helpful addition to our challenge. Glad you found your way here!

And welcome theoncelers, I look forward to getting to know you better. You've already lost quite a bit, hey, you're a star even now!

Wish, I don't think I've met you before either. Good to have you around, and boy, you certainly had your share of trouble in the past two months. All of those occasions - heck, even ONE of them - could easily detour a person from their diet. My hat's off to you for sticking to it and hanging in there.

Kibs - I always weigh at least twice at a time, with half an hour in between. I distrust scales as a matter of course. LOL! It's unfortunate when you get your hopes up just to see them crushed again though... but hey, that which you haven't lost this time, you WILL lose next week. It's not like you're going anywhere and won't be around to see it, right? (that same thought goes out to maribelle, too - just hang in here!)

Chynna: yes, I'm Austrian, born and raised... I do speak German, it's my first language. Hallo nach Stuttgart!

Michelle - WOW that certainly is a milestone, to not be recognized by family! LOL... those comments, from people who've known us for so long, really make such a difference, don't they? I remember when my cousin once casually remarked I should please move out of the way (I was standing in the door), because even though there's now less of me, he still needed SOME space to get through. Hehe - that made my day!

asj - commiserations from a fellow binge eater. That one bite has a way of turning into the whole cake, the whole day, the whole week. I'm glad you stopped it, and hang on with all your might now. Personally, I have the most difficulty in sticking to the diet the first few days after a binge. Please don't give in now. You can do this, you have been doing this, and you need to get serious. We all do. Put this behind you, but let it be a warning to you, and learn from it. By no means let the guilt and feeling of worthlessness take over what you're doing for yourself now, you're finally taking control and taking care of yourself! You can do this!!

Congrats to the losers - Katie, Becky Sue, flannery (even without a computer, whoa!), towanda, tristen, Mpatient, Michelle, Rhonda, pokeymeister (told ya!), determinedone, and dovemck (those 1 lbs. add up!)!

Phew - I think that's it. WOW, we sure have some serious weight loss going on in here! I can't wait to weigh in tonight and hopefully report some success of my own! Will post that tomorrow...

I want to be thin. I want to be a runner. Why can't I get it into my head that both things require work??

                    • hi moregently and dovemck! :wave i am on a stall to. well not areally a stall because a stall is 4 weeks or more with no weight loss or inches lost BUT it sure feels like i am on one! beleive me! i know how frustrating this is! but try not to worry too much about not loosing weight. the going back and forth off the diet is more then likely from your stall. it doesnt give your body much of a chance to get back into full ketosis. start with a SUPER clean induction and go from there. whenever i do induction over again i dont loose weight until my second week. also if you keep going on and off the diet you can make yourself metabolically resistant, which is very bad :nono but it can correct itself it will just take a little while so just try and stick with it! you can do it! :nod also it might be that your body has replaced the fat you have lost with water and one night you could have a big whoosh. you never know!

and thank you wienerin! you are very sweet!! i am glad to see your doing better!!! woo hoo! :icondance i am very excited to be a part of this! good luck to everyone :hug

                          • Wow Sue!!! 6 pounds down!!! That is great!!! Maybe giving up those sweet tasting things helped? I can relate, as I had to give up my pork rinds, as even though they are induction friendly, they cause cravings for me. Anyway, good job on sticking with it. Even when it was going very slowly, you stuck with it. Your dedication is inspiring.
