well...I will confess to not exercising yet and to not having plans on adding it in soon. I am getting a bit overwhelmed with animals and remodeling and kid activities right now and do not want to add another have to to my list.

Instead my goal for this week will be to make sure I get at least one salad and/or another salad or vegie in as I have been really slacking at this lately and I do believe it is better to have them in even if I can lose without them.

Good afternoon, ladies! I am having a very productive day today, and the kids are home from school, so we've been doing some housekeeping, so to speak!

Elsie-- Thank you so much for all you are to this challenge! Your support, keeping things bumped, routing people forward and keeping our numbers and members straight is such a blessing! I really appreciate you very very much. And I said all that without being mushy at all.

            Suzy-- I love hearing testimonials about Atkins, and yours is inspirational! You're doing so well! I also love your hair and your coloring. You are a beauty! Thank you for the compliment. I'm really a dork, but I thought it would be funny to NOT take myself seriously and post myself in my costume I wore this weekend. *l* {{{Suzy}}}

You hang in there. I know you'll hit that goal!

W-W-W-Wow-wow-wow! Are we already in the 280's for pounds lost total?!

What an inspiration you guys are!!! I am so excited!

woohoo, rybread! You work it, honey! You're going to be at goal by November at the rate you're going!

Elsie-- remodelling is one of my favorite things ever! I want pictures! To me, a home is always a work in progress. And therein is the pity! *lol* My poor husband. Home Depot loves us, though. I think your addition for the week (no pun intended) of veggies is a good one!

You know, you are a great inspiration to me, and I consider you my buddy-in-exercise-crime, so while I'm walking on my treadmill and I'm having a tough time I think about how much better you do and it pushes me to try harder and stop gritching. *l*

I need to clean out the office so I can set up the weight machine again.

I'm glad that I inspire you....so this week we're going for it right? High incline, long minutes....We can do it! No more experimenting for me.

I walked at an incline of 6 for an hour last night. Maybe it was the rowing, but I found the 6 was easy, so I walked faster instead of upping incline. Well, then I realized that was dumb. I will instead go for the 7 tonight with a slower speed.

I didn't get to row today yet. I've been busybusy!

                    Hi Everyone!

It's me again! Ok well I am in a debate with myself. I bought a size 10 pair of jeans and they fit NICELY! So I am seriously considering re-evaluating my goal weight. I have been going nowhere on the scale really and am wondering if 133 is all that I can lose so I'm not sure exactly what I should do. I set the 115 goal because that's what I was before I got married and wanted to get back into a size 7 pair of jeans but now I dunno. I plan to continue with the exercise, it's giving me so much more energy. Hmmm I dunno I guess I am just venting a bit.

Cleo thank you for the compliments My hair is actually fried from all the highlighting and it feels like straw. I look like a big ol' scarecrow LMAO...I have a hard time with compliments too as you can see LOL. Anyway thanks for listening.

                    Yours truly,
                    Michelle

Michelle-- I'd say that so long as your goal weight falls into line with what your doctor says is healthy, and so long as you feel good and look good, adjusting goals is certainly no crime! I have my goal set at 125, but the times I've weighed that in the past I had no muscle at all. Who knows? I might weigh 140 this time around, and I might just be as thin as I was at 125, size-wise! I think fitness and health are most important here, and you can weigh more with a lower BMI, so I'll say that while the scale is a gauge, it's not the most accurate one to test your overall health and fitness!

BTW, a size 10! Woo! I have a toe that size!

WOWEE Rybread! You are doing so good!!! Love the pictures.

Cleo...way to go on the treadmill! Thanks for not getting mushy!

Today DH and I worked outside getting rid of stuff and winterizing. One more section of yard to go through and then the rest is all his junk to get organized. YIPPEE!! We bought some laminate flooring yesterday for the kids room. That stuff is so easy to put in. DS wants his room to be painted a deep red...like ketchup chips. So not sure how I will do that as I don't want all the walls that color. And will have to figure out a contrasting color for the dressers. I just wish it would all get magically done.

Suzyhomemaker...CONGRATS! I think you gotta go by how YOU feel. If you are comfortable in your skin then that is the size for you. I think a size 10 is great. I would love to be there. But I am not you. Let us know what you decide. In the meantime...if you haven't already started you should start climbing the rungs or move to premaintence. JMO!

Re: Mid-Year Resolution Thread for October 23-29

Everyone is doing so great. I feel like a total slug. Went to the gym to swim this morning and the walking pool was closed, so all the old folks are in the lap lanes, and all I took was my swim suit. That was just the start of the day.

DX emailed about needing to talk, so , being an idiot, I called... and for an hour heard about how I am stupid and just wanting my way (dont we all? Isnt his way why he is the ex? ) SO unless I change my religous beliefs to suit his new lifestyle, I am wrong. If he asks me a question, and my answer isnt what he wants to hear, I am wrong. I have no right to an opinion, a moral system, or to be angry at everything he has done to me and these kids, because HEY! his life is better now, so shouldnt we all just act like best buddies! I have had the same beliefs since way before he met me, why do I have to change because situational morality all of a sudden makes him happy?

SOOOOO I caved to my emotions ... today I have ingested a total of a hersheys symphony bar. and a cherry pepsi, and even as I type this, I am working on another.

I hate this mess, and am not too happy with myself right now.

I am thinking going to AZ is not a good thing. It is a great job, but
What awaits in Arizona that's giving you stress?
Dx and his mess is in Arizona. I dont want myself, or the kids to be that close right now. It makes me sick, literally. That whole stress ulcer thing again. THe chocolate is prolly not helping.

Will be taking the next few days to seriously consider moving to Alaska.

This is why I should seriously consider making friends.

(((womanpraised))) Hang in there!!! Here is the only advise I can give you. You teach people how to treat you. What do I mean about that?? I mean that as long as you hang on to the phone and let your Ex talk to you that way...he will. He is crossing your boundries..because you let him. You need to tell him that unless he can speak civilally to you that he won't be speaking to you at all. If he goes on...tell him that if he doesn't stop that you are going to hang up because you do not need to be spoken to in such a disrespectful way. And you can no longer allow it and that he can phone you back when he is ready to treat you proper. Then hang up. And keep hanging up everytime he does that. It won't take him too long to figure out you are serious. But unless you are going to stick to your guns about it, don't do it. Because the worse thing you can do is put your foot down and then cave. Think of it like dealing with a 2 year old who is pushing the limits to see how far he can go. He might even throw a bigger temper tantum a couple of times to see if he ups the bad behavior if it will work...but if you stay firm he will have to stay within the boundries or find someone else to intimidate.

And please please please put down the chocolate...that is only going to make you feel worse and your self esteem lower. Instead..go get some legal food and find strength in that. That you will not let how he acts influence what you put in your mouth because you have the power over that...not him!!!

Okay...this is all just my advise because I care...but you can take or leave the advise...I won't be offended. But I didn't want to not say anything and have you think no one out here cares...because they do!!

                                Hope I didn't offend you.
