Way to go Cleo! 5 lbs in one week, that's awesome! Boy, your treadmill must be smokin!

Re: Mid-Year Resolution Thread for October 23-29

Okay, so I figured it out, with the help of my OCD weight notebook, that I have lost 30 pounds in thelast month and a half. Unfortunately, it is the same three pounds over and over and over...

SO! Today starts clean. I will commit to limiting the emotional distractions by refusing phone calls and keeping it confined to email only.

I will commit to eating clean, and to not weighing again until next week.

I will commit to as much exercise as my back will let me do. I can do something, even if it is modified.

And I will check in here before I put anything unfriendly in my mouth.

      Thanks!

MICHELLE **** A size ten!!!! WHOOO HOOO...

I would ask, if I may, about some non-weight related goals...

How is your skin? Do you have the muscle tone and definition you want? Could you put on a bathing suit and say, DARN that looks good! Do you feel comfortable being naked? What about naked in front of your hubby? Can you go to the park, or climb stairs, and do everything you want to do and not get too tired? Is shopping for clothes something you want to do? Do you feel you look good? Are you proud of where you are?

SInce we are all so different, body comp wise, I just wonder what other markers you might use to say, I am there!

I can only dream of a size ten. For one leg.

        **hugs**

<<I'm calling my weight for the week, and this here pirate is sooooooooo excited.

259/217/199/18 pounds to go until New Year's Eve

            I'm down 5 pounds!>>

And that ladies is why we should all be exercising...SIGH! Weigh to go on setting a good example for us all Cleo.

Effie...good for you for getting back on the plan!

Suzyhomemaker..<<I'll continue to workout and follow Atkins until I can figure it all out.>>

You will have to continue to workout and follow Atkins even after you figure it out to keep the weight off....in some ways that is when the real work starts. I think climbing the rungs is a great idea either way.

Twg..sorry to hear you were sick. Glad to hear you are another .5 down!! Thanks for your appreciation. I hope I don't ever come on too strong with my 'tough love'.

NewMe...congrats on the size 14!!! Goal is changed!

Womanpraised...you sound much better today!! I am glad.

***Stepping meekly out from behind the curtain..***

Okay, I am here to bare my soal. I have been bad, very bad.

I ate wendy's..I was supposed to restart and I do great all day until dinner comes around. I hate myself right now. I feel like crap and I don't want to feel this way! Why can't I stick to this like you guys??

I stay FAR FAR away from this board when I've been bad. I am so ashamed to even be here among all of you with your great success.

                        WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME???

I AM going to restart tomorrow, but I know it's not b/c I have the drive or because I want to. It's b/c I don't want to be the one who could keep it together. I don't wanna be the girl who everyone looks at on New Years and says, awww she just doesn't have what it takes.

I am so embarrassed right now.

Congratulations to all of you. You are all very strong, more than you know. Don't ever give up. You have a drive that it not easy to achieve. You are overcoming all of your obsticales and you guys kick butt.
*Dieting makes you look good with your clothes on...exercise make you look good with them off.*

Cleo...way to go on that treadmill girl. You rock!

jsj...glad to see you are back and posting. Maybe you should post everyday...that might help. I know you can do it!

Accountablity: Vegies ate today...7.5 oz romaine, 9.9 oz tomatoes and 5.9 oz cucumber. That was definately enough. Plus I had more than 10 cups of water today...so all in all a good day.

JSJ, so you had a bad day....accept it and move on. Don't let it drag you down 'cause that's when everything goes bad. Forget it, jump back on the wagon....I held a spot for you...and keep going. You can do it! You've come too far to not make it now.
