Come on PEOPLE! Where are you? Are you hiding because you aren't doing well? Then check in and let us support you! Are you doing so good you don't need any support? Then check in and tell us so we can be motivated by your success! A quiet thread is not a good thing!

Yea, where is everyone? We are lonely in here without you guys. You all better be back on the wagon and not hiding out because you fell off.

I am doing ok. Things are getting really hectic around here with the approach of the holidays. I need to find other things to think about other than the holiday foods I want to eat. I am even having those awful thoughts like....oh, I just should not worry about losing right now. I will give it my all after the first of the year. That is the mentality that got me fat in the first place.

No, I will not give in to that. I am staying on plan and not gaining any weight this holiday season.

Are you all with me? Do I hear an Amen?

It's pretty quiet in here. Hello???????? Anybody home?

Re: Mid-Year Resolution Thread, Nov. 13-19+

I'm still very much here! Holding strong at 147.5lbs.

Well, it turns out that not only has my mother started this WOE, but she's got my dad doing it too! My dad is the type that doesn't really care what he eats so long as there's food to eat - and if that means the fastest/easiest thing is making a sandwich, that's what he'll eat. Bad, considering he's a diabetic. And when he's on a 'diet', he needs to be told exactly what to eat cause he refuses to think about it. So since my mother and I cooked up a storm this weekend, she's been leaving him a list every morning of what he needs to eat/take with him to work to eat, and so then all he has to do is pull it out of the fridge. And he's doing it! Yay! I know he can totally reduce the amt of his diabetes meds if he sticks with this!

Re: Mid-Year Resolution Thread, Nov. 13-19+

Twg..definiately this is not the time to be saying to yourself "oh, I just should not worry about losing right now. I will give it my all after the first of the year. "
AACK..to do that would totally undo all the hard work you have been doing! While I know there are some days coming up that traditionally are focused on food that is not an excuse for any of us to use to eat whatever up until that day. Maybe you can say you are going to stick to plan until that day (Thanksgiving, Christmas, whatever) but on that day you are going to make yourself an Atkins friendly treat that you normally wouldn't think of doing. That way you are still treating yourself good. I know it is hard.....

I am not worried about Christmas yet...the one that has me totally freaked out is a 5 girl get together we do in March or April every year for the last 7 years. We get together to scrapbook and stamp but the traditions there include chocolate, cheese cake tarts and shooters...I think I could even be okay with the chocolate and tarts but the shooters are determined by how much we have spent on our order and if we pull that 'task' out of a hat. LOL...so there you are...hard not to get ahead of ourselves, isn't it??

Thanks Elsie. I agree that is a scary thought and not one I am going to give in to.

How is everyone doing this week? I am getting worried about everyone. Please check in and let us know how things are going.

Ta-da! I am here.. checking in.

I Have had those, oh well, I already blew it for this year thoughts. But I figure I just need to focus on today... and then tommorrow.

I am having a hard time in the evenings. Really hard. I caved completely last night, more out of spite than anything else, and the person I was upset with wasnt hurt or bothered at all! The only person I did any damage to was me. How stupid is that?

SO, to start today on the right foot, I ate a great breakfast, and did the walk 3 jog 1 minute for a mile. I will take the kids after school and walk another mile. And then maybe do one more tonight when they are in bed.

What is your goal for today folks?

Mine is to be cheat free, and get at least another 30 min of exercise in.

                  Exercise 60 minutes 5x week
                  Get in the right veggies.

twg..good for you for not giving in!! You don't want to do that to yourself!

woman...I can actually remember one time (there were lots I am sure but I remember this one) where I had a fight with my boyfriend and I walked out and went to the store and bought a couple of chocolate bars and thought to myself as I was stuffing them in "There...that will show him" I can't for the life of me remember the thought process after that or what the heck I thought I was going to show him and how the heck eating chocolate bars would show him...but it all made sense at the time. Sad how much we sabatoge ourselves!! Hang in there.

lots2lose...come on girl..you know you can do this!!! Look how far you have come..you are just going to get hotter and hotter.

I think we should set up a challenge or goal or something for next week...

Sounds good! Let's get this group going again!!! I am dedicated to this challenge. I am leaving for my Mom's for 5 days but still plan to check in here once a day at least. What can we do individually or as a group to give us all motivation to stick to plan and to post? Does someone have a topic they would like to have discussed for next weeks topic? Come on....the more we don't post the worse some of us are doing. Checking in is one small step that helps us....we can do it!!! What do you say?? Who's with Womanpraised and I????

                                Hi everyone!

Checking in with a 2 pound weight loss for the week. I'm still sticking to the plan and plan to continue through Thanksgiving. Why give up now, right? When we're so close to our goal. I'm really looking forward to New Year's and actually feeling good about myself that day! It's going to be great!!!! By the way, do you all realize that there's only 6 more weeks until New Years eve? Come on! Now is the time to step it up and work our best to get to our goal by the end of this year. I'm doing my best and maybe, just maybe I can get to my goal by Christmas. Hey, it doesn't hurt to add a second challenge to my challenge.

                                Hope all is well.
