Have another salad later if you need too or at supper if you didn't. Try it. I was a eat all day person too. Couldn't wait to finish whatever I was eating so I could eat something else. Also...use fitday just to see what you are doing. It is a useful tool.

Okay..bedtime for me...catch you all tomorrow!
        Thanks for your reply, Elsie!

I'm still doing induction because I had difficulty sticking to it in the beginning. I took your advice and I had salad for lunch today! From Subway, that is. I also used FItday and found that i went WAY 2000 cals. Gah!

Congrats on the size 12, cruiser!

I'm going to continue working hard. I have a fear of eating late, so my cut off has been 5-6 for my last meal lately. I go to bed hungry, but with my past late night eating experiences, once I start eating, I don't stop.

        Hope everyone is doing great!

So how did eating the salad work for you?? Did it help at all? Will you tell me to take my own advice since I didn't have one with lunch today and had only about 8 cups of water and was starving before dinner and had peanut butter today when I said I wouldn't.

Besides the calories...what were your ratios like?? Where you under 20 carbs? Did you stay away from the processed meats...diet pop ....coffee..eating only whole foods? If you are having the last three things and are experiencing cravings I suggest that you cut them out during induction and introduce them again later to see if they have an effect on you. Some people can do them and some can't. Hopefully you can.

Are you hungry at night or is it thirst, boredom or habit? Don't give up or get discouraged. Feel free to ask anything.

          Just my opinions..........

            I should think that a small slice of beef roast would be all right in the evening. Or a hard-boiled egg. I mean, proteins are self-limiting, especially when high fat. If you eat when you are hungry and stop at one egg or one ounce of meat you are fueling your body. If you are hungry and don't eat it could make your blood sugar unstable. I've eaten at 1am before when I was starving, but ate only enough to get me through. That's the key. "Just enough". {{{Kinkay}}}

Plus..you are less likely to over eat if you eat before you get to the starving point. Something I could have avoided myself today if I had eaten a better lunch than the tin of flaked ham and a piece of cheese. I told myself to have a vegie but was too busy/lazy to make it. My bad and I paid for it later.

Cleo...love your little winter girl! So cute! Is that another Toni creation?

Wow, I LOVE the support here@!

The weird thing was, as I was eating the salad, I felt guilty. I felt guilty about consuming all those carbs (in the caesar dressing and in the lettuce).

I hate myself for this, but I seem to not be able to control myself once I start eating. I'll tell myself, "ok...enough is enough" and I'll spend the next hour or so concentrating on NOT eating. Eventually, I cave.

Today, I had 1996 calories but I stayed under 20g of carbs. I ran around all day, though.

Does anyone have strange eating habits? I eat sour cream by itself like ice cream.

I'm going to do 4 miles right now because I feel so guilty.

Then I get to watch SEX AND THE CITY!!! I can't believe how similar to Miranda I am.

Then another 4 miles after that. Should be doable.

                    Hi Ladies!

As luck would have it my plan to re-induct yesterday did not turn out to be possible. Very long story and I won't bore you with it here but if you wanna find out what happened you can check out my blog.

Have to say that I am doing much better today and am feeling like I am finally back on track. Actually have a touch of the induction flu already as I have had a headache from $#!& all day today!! Woe is me!

Elsie: Glad you finally figured it out and got your ribbon up

Kinkay: I thought I was the only one who ate strange things like that. Sometimes I'll just cut off a chunk of cream cheese and eat it by itself and I have also been known to eat a spoonful of sour cream. LOL!

*wipes sweat off brow* Whew I knew I'm not alone. Today i had cheese and sour cream for lunch. I didn't want to get all my calories from canned meat like last time.

I'm feeling thinner today, definitely! It may be because I went to the bathroom like crazy today too haha. I hope I can fit into my size 4 pants by new year. That's my ultimate goal! SIZE 4!!! Right now I'm trudging around in my varsity sweat pants because nothing else in my closet fits me.

                        Re: Mid-Year Resolution, November 27-Dec 3

Well Kinkay...don't feel guilty about the carbs in the salad because if you weren't getting them from that you wouldn't be doing Atkins. NO WHERE does it state not to eat carbs. In fact you are supposed to have those vegies. The salad dressing should have 1 carb per Tablespoon so as long as you don't over do it it should be fine. Before Atkins I used to drown my salads in dressing...there would always be lots in the bowl after all the salad was gone. Now I only use 1-2 T depending on the size.

Good for you for staying under the 20g of carbs. Keep eating the vegies with some fat and protein. It will help the cravings go away. Be aware that you are limited in your sour cream during induction. I think it is either 1 T or 1 oz...I forget. And you are limited with cheese too...3-4 oz?? Correct me if I am wrong someone. Good for you for staying away from the canned meat. A lot of people like to cook up a big batch of chicken/meatloaf/burgers etc and have them in the freezer. I use prefab 100% beef hamburger patties all the time...I don't precook those though.

LOL! A size 4! Man are my expections ever low. I am 2 inches shorter than you and shooting for 150 pounds. I was never a size 4! I hope you took before pictures so you can post before and after!! I was a size 7 for a year...even back then though I had a tummy...SIGH!! I think I weight about 123...and I was about 20 years old. BIGGER SIGH!! LOL!

Wanna...I have lost 38 pounds since August 11. Pretty cool, huh? Only one week with no weight lose but made up for the next with the 4 pound lost that put me at 199.

Toni!!! Hope you managed to get to the grocery store today!!! I carry some hotrods in the car for those times that I get caught up and end up too hungry to wait until I am home. But you should have some breakfast too, friend. Something. Tomorrow is another day. With some groceries and a plan you can do this!!! I KNOW IT!

Elsie, you never know! With the speed you're at which you're losing weight, you might just surpass goal and get to the weight that you were at age 20! I'm turning 20 this Sunday, and I probably won't even be 123 lbs.

That IS a phenomenal day, Cleo! I wouldn't be able to function without breakfast though. In the past 19 years, I've never gone a day without it.

I had a phenomenal day as well!!!

B: 1/2 can of turkey with lettuce and mayo
L: 5 oz of cheddar cheese
S: 3 heaping tablespoons of sour cream
D: 2 cups of steamed veggies and fatty fish my dad made

Haven't exercised yet, but I'll do 4 miles.
