Re: STAC New Years Challenge Dec 8-9

Thursday in Africa is almost over and I’m on my way home

I had a better day than yesterday. Stayed on plan very well and plan to make a meatloaf tonight (first time for me ). I had about 3 litres of water so far and will finish my 4 litres before bedtime.

I played squash this morning and will try to do the Gym Ball workout or yoga tonight.

I've been doing well w/food and water. I've resisted gobs of cookies at work, *and* pizza, coconut cream pie, cookies and candy at my boyfriend's house. PHEW! My exercise hasn't been so great, since my cold has settled in my lungs and any exersion causes coughing fits. I've still managed to lose 6# in 12 days, so I'm happy.

Re: STAC New Years Challenge Dec 8-9

I stayed on plan yesterday, food and waterwise. Only got in about 20 minutes of walking, though. I was just too uncomfortable after the procedure at the doctor to do any more than that.

Re: STAC New Years Challenge Dec 8-9

Good today!! I did face a challenge when I took my dd to the Homeschool Christmas Party, though. They decided to do this overly-organized way of letting people go through the food line. First any families that had 1 year olds got to go, then any family who's youngest was two, etc. Well, my ONLY dd is TEN!! Needless to say, we were the last people to go through the line. What was left? Bread, pasta, crackers, more pasta, some rice, some meatballs swimming in syrupy-goo and desserts. Now, I know for a fact that there had been a tray of lunch meat and cheese up there as well as deviled eggs. There was not one single thing up there that was low-carb/diabetic friendly.

I found the overly-organized organizer and "suggested" that maybe next year families who have members that are diabetic or have food allergies should get to go first. He said, "We never considered it." I told him that people unaffected by food issues usually don't consider it, but it should be considered. He agreed with me, especially after I pointed out how lucky it was that my dd's peanut-allergic best friend had brought her own food! All that to say that I went a LOOOOONNNGGGG time between breakfast (8 am) and lunch (4 pm), but I stayed on plan and didn't eat any of the leftovers on the buffet!!!

                    B: 2 boiled eggs, 5 slices bacon
L: 5 oz london broil, 1 cuke with 2 Tbsp ranch dressing
D: Toppings from two slices pizza, 1 cup green leaf lettuce with greek dressing
                    S: 1 oz peanuts

                    Water: 128 oz

                    Exercise: Rest Day

Re: STAC New Years Challenge Dec 8-9

Hi everyone....Boot Camp is taking up a lot of time, plus the usual computer glitches but I'm here and doing great. Drinking a lot of water...120oz or better and keeping totally on plan. Have been around 12-14 carbs per day and not really feeling hungry.

This week at work are two Xmas parties/luncheons...Thursday is the whole building, and Friday just my department. I have no idea what will be served, except that there will be desserts and most likely some pasta dishes. I will bring my own lunch just in case.

There is also a whole department of homemade cookies, cakes, bars etc., which I am happy to say doesn't even tempt me. Never even went to sniff

Hope you all are having a great weekend
