    Re: Mid-Year Resolution, December 11-17

    Good Morning everyone!!

I am still struggling here. Don't know how I lost my incentive. Am just eating legal foods but way too much of them!!!

Anyhow...hope everyone has a great day! Mine will be very busy with Award cerimonies at school then Craft afternoon at school..which I volunteer for and then a skating concert afterschool...SIGH! So won't be online today. Will try to check in before bed.

    Be a great day!

Hi Elsie how are you.I'm checking in myself.Everything's very hectic for me right now since it's finals time for me.yikes.I'm doing well though.Haven't checked my weight and not checking till sunday.I'm just going to concentrate on getting my water and veggies and everything else I need in and concentrate on my finals instead of being obsessed with the scale.I was very tempted to step on it today but I didn't.I'm very proud of myself for that.

        Re: Mid-Year Resolution, December 11-17

Hello lovies! My most sincere apologies. Boot Camp is honestly a lot of where I've been recently and it's been a lot of work for all involved, emotionally and work-wise.

I'm back on induction (day 3 today), but I've also had tendonitis in my lower arm (which necessitates a break from long periods of repetitive behavior (in this case, typing) and the flu, of all things! Egads!

I'm so proud of everyone hanging in!!!

{{{Ebony}}} I fully understand, and we'll see you in January!

Kinkay, I'm so glad you got your job back! I see already that you're becoming a new person.

{{{elsie}}} you just rock for all your hard work. I appreciate it more than you know, especially suring absences such as these where I know how instrumental it is for someone to be here (and irresponsibly, she hasn't been me).

lots2lose! finals week! Egads! you can do it!!!

{{{Twg}} I owe you email, and I haven't written you yet! I have been thinking about you a lot, so don't think I haven't. I am SO glad you are still here (moreso than me!).

Ebony...Do the best you can for now! Don't use the fact that you will start over in the New Year to allow yourself to get out of control now. Remember to at least drink lots of water!!!! If you bring in the New Year at less than when you started this challenge you will be a winner!!

Lots2lose...good for you for fighting the scale demons! What are you taking in school? Best of luck with all your tests! I admire your dedication to getting the water and vegies in. I have been remiss myself in doing that lately!

Cleo...my dear...So glad to see you posting when I know you are soooo busy right now with bootcamp!! It inspired you to redo induction, did it?? LOL! I may have to get back to the basics myself after Christmas. Please check in when you can. We miss your humor and wisdom!!!

          Kinkay....how ya' doing???

          Anyone else out there????

No, not Boot Camp. When I'm not motivated, nothing motivates me, girl--unfortunately!

Kinkay-- where did you go, girl?

I hear you Cleo. I am either totally in the zone or totally out of it myself.

Weigh in for me today. I stayed the same. I am okay with it as I have been terrible with drinking my water and planning my meals. If I can get to NYE maintaining I will be very happy!

Anyway...hope everyone is doing good! Kinkay...haven't heard from you for a couple of days. Lots2lose...thinking about you and your finals. Everyone else busy with holiday stuff right now??

Be a great day! If you can't then Fake it 'til you make it!!!

No change here. I have to keep track of my calories again...I'm slacking off in that area.

I started my new job, sop now I have TWO jobs, and dad on the computer all the day long.

I am only able to get on now, because my folks are out of town this weekend.

                              HUGS.

I am stalled, but it is because I havent been watching portions or calories well.

                              Keep steady everyone...

Remember... the time that it takes you to get to goal isnt NEARLY as important as making it there!

                                Re: Mid-Year Resolution, December 11-17

Well, my body is back to 145 lbs, and sticking for a couple of days now. Hopefully it doesn't go away again. Though the only reason it came back, I'm sure, is because I ate barely 900 calories on Friday. [Not on purpose! Just happened due to the circumstances of my day...]

I am considering a "Metabolic Tune-Up" - my metabolism seems very out of whack. These days, to lose any weight whatsoever, I'm having to eat way below my BMR, which doesn't seem right at all. [I think its one thing to do that out of your own free will to lose faster, but quite another when you have no choice if you want to lose at all!] And the second I eat 100 - 200 calories above my BMR, I gain. And this is all with exercising (Slim in 6 with some cardio and weight training smattered in between) 60 minutes a day, 4 days a week! I definitely don't want to have to spend the rest of my life eating 1300 calories just in an attempt to *maintain* my weight, in spite of all the exercise I do!!

[And to be clear, I'm eating 100% clean OWL, exercising up a storm, and still getting nowhere. I'm still cheat free & slug free.]

So, I've been reading up on this Metabolic Tune-Up that Bren's mentioned a few times, and I've been talking about it with someone on the lowcarbbulletinboard.com. I've also got the book waiting for me at the library as we speak so I can make sure I do all my research before I venture into it. [It would be about a month to three month commitment.] It makes sense to me, and it seems now that I've made my way to the top of the carbohydrate ladder, that its something I could fit in with my Atkins quite easily.

If I do happen to go through with it, I'll let you all know how it works out.
