    Re: Cheese-aholic Abstinence Challenge

Yup Dave looks like you and me...that's ok, we can do it!

Hopefully today you are doing better Dave. I am cheese free so far...a couple close calls but water saved me. A daily struggle.

Ill go cheese free, i know its a little late, but I have a problem with milk, ive had it forever, but im so used to just dealing with it, that i still eat it, and drink milk etc. So i pledge today to swear off cheese.

              Re: Cheese-aholic Abstinence Challenge

              Hi everyone,

Well since my absence I have not been cheese free. But I have still been keeping up my research on this.

What I have found out is that there is actually a problem when milk is paturised and homogenised. Apparently the protein are corrupted in the milk and a lot of beneficial bacteria is killed.

              http://www.mercola.com/2004/apr/24/raw_milk.htm

              http://www.realmilk.com/

This is very interesting. I have been asking around and apparently people who have dairy intolerances do okay with dairy that is not pasturized or homogenised.

Cheese remains a problem for me. So starting tommorrow, Good Friday I am giving it up.

Who is with me ? Anyone want to try and be cheese free! It's a difficult road ahead, but I am prepared to travel it!
