I was thinking of trying to get down to my goal weight of 165 by my 11 year Anniversary on Oct. 2. Is 15 pounds too much to ask of myself in just under 4 weeks?

well, yes, I do think it is a little much. 15lbs in just a month? I didn't even do that my first month and I had well over 100lbs to lose. With only 15lbs to lose you are likely to lose mucch slower.
Also, remember, if you want to keep the weight off, you really should do Atkins properly. That means going through Owl and Pre maintainace when you still have 20-15lbs left to lose. These are the key phases to the WOE, this is where you learn how to maintain for a lifetime.start: 8/18/03

Well I only have a total of 21 pounds to lose. 6 are already gone it's taken 17 days to get there! And that's on iduction. As for OWL & Long Term Maintinance, 4 years ago I lost 20 lbs & was able to keep it off for 2 years until I got preggers w/DD. So thankfully, I know how to keep it off once it is off.Jeannine

Well, I guess it was too much to ask! :sadblinky I weigh tomorrow but I know I'm still right around 178 & that's 13 pounds from my goal weight! It's just taking a lot longer to lose this 20 pounds than it was when I lost 20 back in 1999! :sadblinky Oh well, not giving up though. I will still have a great anniversary & I'll get back to 165 hopefully by the end of 2004! :ThumbsUp :yesJeannine

whether you make it to that scale weight or not will depend on how hard you work your Atkins and your metabolism. What you wil be on that daye if you continue doing your Atkins WOL is a smaller healthier person everybody will see has gotten smaller. Have a great time at your anniversaryby the book atkinseer

I don't think your goal is unreasonable, I lost about 18 pounds with in a month on induction while biking 14 miles a day, swimming about 3,000 yards, and running the occasional four miles about twice a week. Don't be discouraged, put all you can forth and I'm sure you can lose those 15 pounds in no time!
