Just checking in after a long beautiful weekend at camp. The weather was HOT, and i actually got in the water. I never get in until about August ...LOL..
Well it is late and I am tired so measurements will be official tomorrow. I need to measure for Father's Day challenge as well.
WOW-- this is a big group of supporters here. Sounds liek a fun challenge. I really only have until July 4th to get in some serious inch loss, but I will find a way post op to stay on plan.
Bjs, you just do what you can until the 4th, that's still a couple weeks away. Have you got a plan for eating after your surgery? Do you have a support network at home??

Yes I do. I am thankful of that. They all are aware of my WOE ; so hopefully it will all be good. My sister and bil are doing SBD, and we jsut spent the weekend at camp with whole family really enjoying low carb eating.
So hopefully all will be well....My hospital stay is what worries me as far as WOE... they push the ginger ale and crackers. I knwo I can chose water over the soda without much trouble. BUT the toast and crackers and general menu has me scared.. Even IV wiht glucose......ARRRRRGHHH-- worse case senario I will go back to induction when I get home, and stay on that type of plan until I can pick up activity level..
bjs - you are having surgery, you know. It would be fine for you to take a breather of sorts, by being as atkins-y as you can under the circumstances. Of course hospital food sucks any way you look at it! You will need your rest and calm to heal so try not to stress over it! Like you said, you can also re-induct when you get home and feel well.
My main motivation right now is to get as many pounds off as I can before hand. It will make for a healthier surgery and recovery process, the more weight I can lose before.
The pot op time, well we will see waht it brings. I would liek to stay on plan. But will see. I will ahve plenty of time to post on here and ask for yur support.
Thanks again Silly-- gentle reminders are what I need-- my famil is great at giving them too!
Hi Everyone! I'm checking in for the August Tape Measure Challenge. I used the FitToGether website for my measurements. My husband measured me so hopefully it will be more accurate and consistent than if I measured myself. Can't wait to see how we all do. Do we measure every week or just at the end of the six weeks?
Hey everyone! It was suggested to me to give this challenge a try, and since I'm on induction right now, I thought it was a great idea. Plus, I'm new and trying to make my rounds to get to know everyone
So, currently, my measurements look like this (boo hiss)
Neck: 15.75
Chest: 51.5 (Haven't measured my ribcage, I'll do that on the next measurement)
Waist: 48.5
Hips: 59
Upper Thigh: 33
Calf: 20
Ankle: 10.5
Upper Arm: 19
Forearm: 12.5
Wrist: 7
Neck: 15.75
My goal is 10 inches. I'm hoping this challenge will prompt me to exercise more!

Yay! Glad you're still here. I definitely wouldn't measure more than once a week. But it's your choice if you want to do it weekly or at the end. Be sure to come here for support on a regular basis though!!

Well, hope everyone is off to a great start on the first day of the challenge. I went to WM today and bought the "Walk Away the Pounds" video. I'm going to start it tonight! Hope we shed lots of inches over the next six weeks!
