I read a lot, about every night, and do spend a lot of time online too later in the evening. Lately it's not helping much though... I'll actually get up and go to the kitchen. lol... At least I'm grabbing something legal or giving it up and going back to what I was doing. Gotta get it under control though, I've come too far to mess up now!

I agree! You're doing awesome! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! One day at a time... sometimes even one minute at a time, but the PAY OFF in the end is fantastic!

Since I don't do strict, by-the-book, bootcamp-style induction well (gotta have my cup o' joe in the morning, just gotta... need more than 1T of flax per day... enjoy spinach for my salads instead of lettuce...) I decided to go up a rung. I seem to do best, lose weight, and feel good at 25g net carbs a day. Given some time I know I'll be able to move up the rungs.

2 days so far... looking forward to the rest of day 3

Wow - it sounds like everyone is doing wonderfully! And having Tommy around to give us all an ego boost is definitely a good thing.

Cristy - I also have problems with eating when I'm alone. My most dangerous time is the time between when I get home from work and when DH does. There's about an hour between that is very hard for me. Of course, as soon as I start exercising, that time will be filled up, but for now it takes every ounce of strength that I have and still I don't always succeed.

Marion - I really like your breakdown for our upper management! And I definitely agree with Dolphin that you're the mayor.

As for me, I need to go back to day 1. I ate some sugar-free jello last night and then looked at the label and it was made with aspartame. ACK! And as we all know, cheats breed cheats, and the jello was washed down with diet coke w/lime. So I'm considering that a cheat because I strayed from the rules of induction and had aspartame.

It's going to be a tough day for me because I have a job interview this afternoon and it has been a very long time since I've done that, so I'm extra nervous. I know that my weight has held me in my current job for far too long, and it's time to go; has been for about 5 years now. It's just very nerve racking because even though I know I'm majorly qualified for this job, I still know people will be judging the outside. But hopefully all goes well.

I can't wait to get my new 1 day cheat free button tomorrow!!!

I'm looking forward to hearing how everyone is doing! I love hearing about your escapes from the clutches of sugar and starch.

Hi Ralynda...I don't agree with you that the sugar free jello is a cheat. Dr. Atkins says in his book that you can have it, even in induction...therefore no cheat. As for the diet coke with lime, one wouldn't consititute a cheat either, as you are allowed three servings of sugar substitute a day. Splenda is only the BEST substitute besides natural Stevia...(which is GROSS). Being too hard on yourself might end up causing you to fall later, but hey...thats just my opinion. You can take it or leave it, depending on its usefullness! BEST OF LUCK WITH THAT JOB INTERVIEW!!! Let us know how it went! If you still want to consider this day 1, let me know, and I'll adjust the member list accordingly.

Good - so I didn't cheat. I wasn't sure at first whether to call it that or not, but I figured since DANDR says you shouldn't have aspartame, then I'd consider it a cheat. But I'll absolutely take my 4 day button. Thanks Marion!!

                  Wow you guys!

Every morning when I log on there's a couple pages to catch up on. I'm so proud of you all!

I just finished scrambled eggs with mozzarella, mushrooms and chives for breakfast. I'm still amazed with what I can eat lol. Still going strong, and absolutely NO cravings. What's weird is that I haven't been craving...just wanting to shove junk in my mouth..not because it'll taste good, but for that comfort factor. I haven't deviated from 3 meals a day though, and they're satisfying, so I can't complain! I'm really loving this!

There's so many things I can relate to when I read y'alls posts. The cramps? I haven't had them lately because I've been taking my multivitamins, but they ARE caused by dehydration and lack of potassium. Upping either should be a great help, I hope so because those hurt!

I did have coffee and soda yesterday and today. I counted them as my sweetner quota though and I've been using Splenda and Sweet & Low. I've been avoiding sugar-free jello because of the aspartame, but I did a search and found a post here consequently, about someone using diet rite 0 to flavor unflavored geletin and setting it. I may try it just because the idea intrigues me. It would only count as however much diet rite you used too.

Oh, and one final note before my hot air carries me away. Today was weigh day...I'm down 2 more pounds and 3.5 more inches from last week. I'm giddy

Have a lovely day all...stay cheat free!

Yesterday was cheat-free. Had a great dinner with friends last night - roasted chicken, a little cauliflower, a little broccoli, and a small salad with Caesar dressing. And of course the ever-present water!

Since cream is such a big problem in its natural state, I went back to my old stand-by, panna cotta, for a sweet treat. I have better control of my portion size when I can just reach in the fridge and grab something yummy.

3.68 miles of walking yesterday! I'm getting back into the swing of my long walks after a bum week last week. It felt really good walking in the evening, seeing the ocean, feeling the breeze! The joys of living where I do!

All is well - hope everyone is happy and sassy!

Yay...I finally added my button in my siggy. Oh, and I weighed this morning and I'm down 3 more pounds! Woohoo!! That's even after a week long vacation! I'm thrilled!

                        Hi, All!
I haven't caught up with all the posts yet, but it sure is encouraging to know so many are in this together.
I'm on my 5th day of cheat free eating. I need to be aware of how much coffee I consume. I've been eating lots of salad with chicken, bacon bits, hard-boiled eggs, parmesan cheese and ranch dressing. YUM! I love spinach with chicken pieces and ranch dressing, too. These meals are my staples lately and seem to keep me very satisfied. I love these buttons and plan to switch up to the 5th day tonight!
                        Have a great day!

I like it because its easier to read sitting down with my hands free plus I can put someone on the handle bars and it takes me back to the 8th grade when life was easy.

I tried doing the stationary bike - it really cranked on my lower back, which has issues anyway! So, I'm sticking with the walking!
