    October 21st is my 24th birthday and I wanted to start a birthDAY challenge.

    Anyone have a birthday around that time want to challenge me to a duel? lol...any takers...come on...you know you want to!

      My birthday is October 2nd and it's a biggie!

      I'll be TWENTY-FIVE!! I'll have hit the quarter century mark!!!

      I'd love to do it with greater self-esteem and health. Soooooo let's get on the Atkins Band Wagon!!

      My goal is to weigh nothing more than 180lbs when I step on the scale on my Birthday morning. I've got 10 weeks and 22lbs to go.......but I'm hoping when I weigh in again after my 14 day induction, it won't seem so daunting.

      Let's Get it done!!

      I will achieve this goal by: Eating atkins legal whole natural foods and getting back to exercise.

        As of now I am cheat free, tomorrow I will start my exercise routine ( treadmill ) walking and hopefully soon jogging then running! I was looking thru Sarah's workout & Holy Moly that girl can sure work out! & she's got a killer bod to show for it..

              I will do this by: Staying cheat free and starting to exercise
              My reward to me will be: Smaller clothes!

              My weight has been coming off VERY slowly (10 pounds in 8 weeks!) so I need to make some changes to make this goal. Any suggestions?

                Have you been drinking enough water? I am doing average 100oz a day

                What phase are you? still doing induction? If you you aren't having any franken foods are you?


                My first time around I fell flat on my face because I started with the atkins bars and shake and milk and other stuff that just causes you to revert back to your old way of eating...

                  I'm hanging in there.

                  I'm already on day 5 of my Induction. I know the weekend is going to fly by (they always do don't they?)
                  It will be Monday and ONE WEEK DOWN before I know it.

                    I am drinking about 70 oz a day. I used to add Crystal Light but found out that was not good for me. I have also dropped the bars. Did not know that they were no good until I found this site. I am still doing induction but admit that I have fallen off the wagon a couple of time. I got right back on but I am sure that is not good.
                    I think I need to sit down with the book again to refresh my skills and plan some meals a little better. I have not really been "counting" the carbs so that's bad and no exercise yet. I know I need to pick up the pace and things will get better. Thanks for the encouragement!

                      Don't get discouraged I have been trying to get on the wagon and stay on more times than I care to count but I have decided this is going to the last time for me I have been changing the way I eat dramatically and 50% of that is because of this board, because of the information the people around here even if you don't interact with them personally you can read about their struggle and it helps out alot.

                      I am doing good going on day#8.. I am going to work out for the first time in a LONG time ... hitting the gym.. not sure what I'll do once i get there.. the treadmill maybe? You know I was thinking is it better to go for Distance say 3 miles or time say 45 mins???

                          Starting: right now
                          B-day Goal: a healthy weight (130's or to be determined), and maintaining a good exercise routine that i enjoy
                          I will achieve this goal by: following the book, not being lazy, finding foods and exercise that I enjoy, keeping my self motivated
                          My end reward to me: of course the way i feel will be a reward, and possibly some new outfits for the fall/winter

                            Well, I had a terrible weekend because we had a party for both of my kids birthdays and the cake was calling my name. Of course I answered!
                            Anyway, today is another day and I am back on track. Drinking plenty of water and already looking forward to some new birthday clothes for my new birthday suit LOL!!!
